"who is it? Midoriya or Iida?" Mina seethed.

currently, us girls were in the lounge, trying to get Uraraka to spill on her feelings.

"c'mon, isn't it obvious?" i said with a giggle.

the smitten girl had started to float out of embarrassment. she was at the window, watching the boy with her cheeks puffed out.

"it's Midoriya," i droned.

"that's not it!" Uraraka yelled.

"right," Mina drug out.

"we shouldn't keep bugging her. she doesn't want to talk," Tsuyu said.

"fine," Mina whined.

"so, _____?" Hakagure called.

i responded with a hum, not taking my eyes off of my book.

"you and Bakugo have some chemistry. i mean, being kidnapped by the League and all," she added.

i nodded again, still reading through the page.

"yeah, you two are awfully close. you're like his personal shock collar," Momo chimed in.

i finished the page i was on and laughed at their comments, closing the book and setting it on the coffee table.

"i figured you guys were going to hound me about that sooner or later," i scoffed.

"give us the details!" Mina swooned.

i sighed loudly, shaking my head.

"are you two together?" she asked.

i shrugged my shoulders at the question.

"oh my god, are you two sleeping together?" Momo gasped.

"no! god, no," i groaned, "it's not like that."

"then, what is it like?" Tsuyu asked.

i looked to her and smiled.

what was it like?

it was like driving down the highway on a cool night with the windows down and the heater on full blast pointed to your feet. listening to your favorite song and screaming every word to the world.

it was like falling asleep in the winter with a heated blanket in a quiet house while the snow fell outside.

it was like sitting down in the bath water until your skin was red after a long day of exercise and work.

"it's like being warm."

———

"Bakugo and Yurei, it must've been so hard for you two with that whole kidnapping incident."

this boy was from Ms. Joke's class, a year ahead of class 1a. his name was Shindo. he reached out to grab _____'s hands.

"don't touch me," she snarled, smacking his wrist away.

he made his way to grab Bakugo, and he did the exact same thing as she did.

"don't pretend. the look in your eyes doesn't match your words," he growled.

"guys, you don't have to be so rude," Kirishima exclaimed.

he turned to Shindo with an apologetic look.

"sorry about them, Bakugo's always like that."

"yeah, and Yurei's grumpy today," Sero joined in.

the girl slapped him on the back of his head, causing him to groan. turning toward Shindo, she knew exactly what Bakugo meant. his aura definitely wasn't pleasing.

"it's totally fine-" Shindo started, but she wanted to interrupt.

"don't you have better things to do than kiss ass?"

he was taken aback by her comment, but flashed a sick smile.

"those villains must've been awful to you, huh?" he said lowly.

"oh, you motherfucker."

she ripped off her backpack and started to charge toward him with her dominant fist ready to swing.

"what are you doing?" Sero yelled, grabbing the back of her uniform.

he was doing a pretty poor job of holding the girl back- she was flailing like a rampaging toddler. a sweaty hand grabbed her arm and she followed it back to those damn red eyes.

"there's no point in wasting your time on him," Katsuki mumbled, sending a harsh glare to Shindo.

"knock it off. grab your things, we're heading to orientation," Aizawa called.

Sero let go of ____'s shirt and she ripped her arm from Bakugo's grip with a huff. she stared down Shindo, seeing one of her ghosts shove him over as her class started to walk away.

she chuckled quickly as the ghost boy walked over to her with a grin, holding out his arm. she gave him a fist bump and snickered with him.

her peers knew that she was communicating with a ghost, but it still took a while for them to not find it a little weird.

all the students changed into their hero suits and met up again.

"is that your hero costume, Yurei?" Mineta drooled.
