My Boss Kiku - chapter 8

As Kiku returned to the living room with his supplies in tact, thoughts were flying around every direction in my head.

Why had I dreamed up him drawing me?

What was the reason for it?

And then finally one more made an appearance:

Did I love him?

That had never occurred to me before. I did think about him a lot and wanted to be closer to him.

But that doesn't mean I love him....

I got out my sketch pad and pencil ready.

(Kiku's P.O.V)

"Strike a casual pose please (Y/N)" I instructed. (Y/N) slowly shifted awkwardly into a pose. I leaned forward and moved her arm slightly.

"Perfect." I smiled. She gave a weak smile back, a blush dusting her cheeks.

I picked up a 2B pencil and began to sketch.

When I was finished, (Y/N) looked eager to see it so I added a finishing touch and turned the pad around.

Her expression didn't change drastically so I was worried she didn't like it. I was about to ask her, when a huge grin spread across her face and her eyes started to gather tears in the corners.

"(Y/N)? Is everything alright?" I asked.

((Y/N)'s P.O.V)

"(Y/N?) is everything alright?" Kiku asked. The picture was beautiful; beyond any on his walls, beyond any in the dream and beyond any I have ever seen. It probably wasn't the number 1 drawing ever, but to me it was special and I loved it.

But of course my mouth couldn't get that out so I was stuck with:

"I-I-I, uh l-l-l." I paused to take a breath while Kiku looked at me intently. " It's absolutely the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life."

His cheeks turned bright red - redder then the tomatoes Lovino always brings in for his lunch. He then smiled deeply at me, then ripped the page out. I gasped, but then he extended out his arm to me.

"Here, if you love it so much then have it. I don't mind." He told me with a warm smile.

"Oh, no. I couldn't." I declined. He shook his head and put the paper in my hand.

"I want you to have it." He informed me.

"Kiku I-"

"Please (Y/N)." He pleaded.

"Fine." He smiled in victory, then got up and sat next to me.

"Wh-What are you doing?" I asked.

"I have something to tell you." He said.

"What is it?" I asked, not sure where this was going.

"(Y/N)," he started. "From the moment you entered my life, you broke the wall that I had concealed around me by making an effort to cheer me up." He said. I smiled as I remembered when I first met Kiku, as a person that wouldn't let anyone be close to him.

"You were this light that I warmed up to. You've seen me smile, laugh, and even smirk from time to time." I giggled at this.

"So what are you trying to say?" I asked.

"I'm saying that (Y/N), I have fallen in love with you." He paused. "I love you (Y/N)." He finally admitted.

I put my hand up to my mouth as I gasped. He loved me? This makes me even more confused about if I love him or not.

"Well? A-Are you going to say anything? Because that was really scary for me." He said with a slight laugh.

"I-I uh, I've been dwelling over it for a while and I've come to a conclusion. I love you too Kiku." I confessed seriously. His eyes lit up with emotion as he grinned from ear to ear.

"Really?"

"Yeah Kiku, really." I confirmed.

"C-Can I hug you?" He asked more nervous then when he confessed.

"Yeah, come here." I invited. He leaned closer and embraced me. Putting his arms around my waist and his head in the crook of my neck. It was nice, and I knew then that I really did have strong feelings for my boss - Kiku Honda.

And I know I only updated a few days ago, but I've been waiting to write this scene since the begin of the book.

Anyway, I've got maybe two or three chapers before the end. T^T I'm having fun writing this.

So one or two people have been commenting and it really drives me. Yes and you voters too. All of you: commenters, voters and readers. Even if it's just saying to update, it motivates me.
