The parents weep, but that's unimportant. It's a very far from correct assumption to say that they don't want to leave, but if they didn't have the option to would they want to in the first place? Shipped off like cargo to countries to play as pawns in a deadly game of chess, or less commonplace, sent off on a ship with a crew of alcoholics to drink, steal, and kill their way through every sea. The illusion of freedom is given when breaking the law, but the reality is they're not more free than anyone else. Now that's not to say that to stay home would be a better option, but the question must arise that what justifies being thrown into unfamiliar lands either "voluntarily" or involuntarily.
