Lucy's P.O.V
After about 5 seconds of nothingness his arms wrapped around me, accepting my hug. I missed this
Pathetic I know, trust me...i do
"I-I'm sorry, I really am. I-I don't know what came over me" Evan said quietly, his voice muffled in my hair. I nodded slightly. I dont know what else to do or say
We pulled away and he put a hand under my chin making me look directly into his warm brown eyes
"Listen, You don't deserve me, I'm a bitch, I know. but will you take me back, Give me a second chance? I-I'll fix everything, trust me" His voice was pained yet sincere and his eyebrows furrowed
I thought for a moment. Not yet...
I shook my head no "I think that we should take a bit of a break for each other... ya feel me?" I smiled at him
His eyes dropped from my gaze to the floor "I-I understand... I'm sorry for bothering you" the hurt in his voice made my heart shatter slightly
I mean what was I supposed to do? Just throw myself at him like nothing happened?
Ah nuh uh, I'm not about that
I opened my mouth to say something but he was already walking away. I turned around and stared at the back of his head
I just sort of stood there in the middle of the street and watching him leave, a few people nudged past me but I didn't care
Then suddenly I felt like I was in the matrix. Everything stopped, well it felt like it did
What's happening, a pain in my head made me grab it in Pain. I squeezed my eyes shut until the pain calmed down slightly
I looked back up at Evan and then down the road that he was crossing.
My breath hitched
A car, I don't know or care what kind, was speeding towards him. I swear my heart missed a beat
Almost by instinct I ran straight towards him. Without thinking, God I'm such an idiot
I got as close as I could and pushed him with all my force hopefully getting him off of the road, into safety
I let out the breath I was holding and everything went pitch black
