Abduction

Chapter 19

I arose to the sound of my phone loudly chirping. My eyes groggily opened just enough to see that Rose had texted me.

Hey! Want to go eat breakfast this morning?

Sure ihop at 9?

Sounds great!

I left it on read and slowly got up trying not to wake Lucas. He was heavy asleep when I walked to the bathroom. I quickly jumped in the shower and got dressed. I opened the door mindful of Lucas still sleeping, but his eyes were open and he smiled,"Good morning beautiful."

I smiled back,"Good morning babe."

"Where you off to?"

"I'm going to meet Rose for breakfast at nine if you want to come."

He thought it over,"I have to get to work soon, but have fun."

I walked over to him and gave him a kiss,"thanks I love you."

"I love you too."

Rose was there when I walked in. The waitress greeted me,"How many?"

"I'm meeting someone but thanks."

I searched for a little and found my way to the table. "Hey!" She got up and I gave her a hug,"I've missed you."

"Missed you too."

"What's been going on?"

She smiled telling me about her week and how she had gotten laid off at work. I hugged her and told her I'd be there for whatever she needed. She continued to talk about everything in her life and I just listened.

I pulled up to the house and something felt wrong. I got out of my car ignoring the thought. I walked to the door confused since it was open.

"Lucas?"

He didn't answer. I heard shuffling in the house so I walked in quietly. A guy with dark wavy hair and light blue eyes wearing black nike shorts with a black pullover shirt, ran into me knocking me down. I screamed,"Who are you!"

He just ran out the door jumped in a van and left. I rushed up frantically searching for Lucas. He wasn't anywhere in the house so I walked outside. My heart dropped when I saw a body floating in our pool face down. I dove into the water pulling him out. He wasn't breathing. I juggled my phone around dialing 911, "hello 911 what's your emergency?"

I answered worriedly,"hi my boyfriend isn't breathing please help there was a guy here who I think drowned him but please help I live at 55044 salt water lane 77405 in Burke Estates."

"Ok ma'am we are sending help right away try to stay calm. I want you to push his head up and pump his chest three times then blow in his mouth and then continue the process until help has arrived."

"Ok."

I pushed his head up then pushed three times on his chest and then blew and continued until the paramedics arrived. They pushed me out of the way and examined him. I started feeling tear drops down my face and called my mom crying,"mom mom Lucas is real bad I don't know if he's alive I need you to get home." Then I hung up.

I overheard a cop telling someone he was dead on arrival, so I ran to him. He looked pale and his eyes were glazed over. I tried to go to him but someone held me back. I tried to fight the person off, but he had a good grip.

"That's my boyfriend let me go!"

I finally got free and dropped to his side. He was dead. The person I loved the most was dead. My heart broke into a million pieces. Who killed him? Why? Oh gosh I need to find and kill the person who murdered Lucas. I hugged him and kissed him one last time," I promise you I will find the person who did this to you. I will find him and he will pay."

The paramedics bagged Lucas up and I fainted. When I woke up I was in our living room and my mom was holding me crying. I looked up and as soon as I saw her face everything jumped back to me and I started to cry.
