Y/n stared into his deep, brooding eyes that held a mystery larger than his feathered body could compare. She wanted to get to know him the way he seemed to know her already, even though they had only met. Elmo looked between the two, as if both of them had forgotten he was there. Their eye contact broke with Elmo trying to silently leave, but tripping over a chair.
He signed, and gazed at the two, who looked like they had known each other for longer than a lifetime. "Elmo is going to leave now. He is embarrassed and flushed at the sight of his friends in love. Elmo is going to see the cookie monster. Goodbye." Elmo exclaimed, as he left the now awkward scene. They watched as he ran out, leaving his food behind. As soon as they knew h was finally gone, by the chime of the door ringing. They looked at eachother one more time, followed by a couple seconds of silence, and then burst out laughing. In such a fit of laughter, neither y/n nor Big Bird realized how much they were blushing.
