pre-event speculations

here's some speculations based on the crumbs i have so far!!

So the story summary says that Tsukasa has to play a role that's starkly different from his usual self, i.e. a calmer, more melancholy role than his usual boisterous self

So like. Does that bring out some inner serious thoughts from him? Idk we'll see

And the cards

Oh my god the CARDS. They're GORGEOUS

The costumes are sort of victorian themed! The logo for the event had a detective/paperboy hat on it so i'm assuming the play has something to do with a victorian setting... WxS is British now.

The logo also had a squirrel motif, and nene and emu are wearing squirrel costumes in Nene's untrained card so i'm curious as to what that entails? Squirrel spirits leading the main character? Just wanting to dress as squirrels because that's a Victorian British thing to do? I'm so confused? It'll make sense later probably but like........ Why squirrels

the fedora. the way he's looking at the camera/outside the window/wherever he's looking. the fact that one of his eyes are covered by his hair. the fact that he actually looks serious in one of his cards for once???? like he's not smiling?????? he's never done that before

And just as a speculation note, 88 is the japanese internet equivalent to applause

It sounds a bit softer than the other WxS songs so i'm curious to hear the full ver! I'm curious about this whole event actually lmao, there's no translations for things yet and I also don't play on the JP server so. I am in the dark with a plate of crumbs

There's something about me and piano people. Kaede Akamatsu from Danganronpa. Rinko and Pareo from Bandori. And now Tsukasa.

Judging from the crumbs i've been left i think the angst isn't as bad as i was expecting, it'll be there but it'll be the warm and fuzzy kind of angst yk? The kind of angst that makes your heart go 'awwwww'

I think that's called hurt/comfort nvm

Anyway the full event drops at 4pm today (the 11th of April, if you don't know/are reading this in the future) so expect more from me later once tumblr/twitter/reddit starts buzzing about it!! :D

That's awfully interesting. 

The PV for the event song had little paper cutout houses and a paper cutout piano as well. Nene's card looks like a pop-up book. Tsukasa's card is set on top of a page of the book. Rui is holding a book in his card. Perhaps the book they're coming out of is the one for the play? And Rui's card represents the author of the book, which further represents his role as the stage director for WxS?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm sorry i went full english essay there but like. I can't NOT go full english essay on this. I've been waiting for this event for WEEKS.

Expect a lyrical analysis as well. :)
