𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 in the bin later, he had a finished reply. Granted, his writing was all over the place, and he couldn't begin to describe anything at Hogwarts into words — or at least, not without mentioning any of the magic bleeding into each and every moment. He took one more read over it, decided that his words weren't going to magically make themselves wittier and more artful no matter how much staring he did, and folded it up, placing it in an envelope and sealing it shut with wax.

Hopefully, Yasi would like the letter. He thought, smiling to himself.

𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 to Hedwig's leg in the Great Hall when Hermione brought up an important point.

"Harry, muggles don't typically get mail from owls, remember?" Hermione asked, and he froze.

Ron wasn't there yet, still snoring in bed after spending the night before finishing the foot-long essay Snape assigned them two nights before on the applications of the Wiggenweld Potion. Hermione had finished it the afternoon they got it while he and Ron were goofing off with Ron's set of Gobstones. Harry had given up halfway through on the same day, putting it off until he could ask Hermione for help.

"I don't think Yasi would mind. She's cool like that." He shrugged, trying to play off his nervousness. He didn't want to admit that he didn't think it through. Plus, maybe he could play it off as an old boarding school tradition if she ever asked.

"But how would you answer her questions?" That made him stop. How would he explain that to Yasi? An owl, to deliver mail? Madness, like his uncle liked to put it. Utter madness.
