Fast forwarding to last year, things were going well. Xel had a job, she was going out and seeing mates. She was happy. So when an old school mate messaged her asking for help, she was more than happy to respond. They spoke for a while and agreed to meet the next day as the friend was rather unstable.

They had agreed to meet at the bottom of town, to grab a bite to eat before he had to go work that evening. To Xel's surprise, he was outside her work waiting for her. He didn't even know where she worked, so this was a real shock to her. She laughed it off in her head and they went to get food and chat. Josh said that he wanted help getting a girl, he felt like no one liked him and that's what was causing his instability. Of course, Xel said she'd help him.. asking what kinda girls he liked and trying to find a suitable match for him.

They were walking to Josh's work when the unimaginable happened. He pushed Xel to the wall and touched her. He kissed her neck and explored her clothed body. He only stopped once he realised the time, manipulating Xel into walking with him. Hugging him outside his work.

Xel felt disgusting. She felt used and she felt ashamed. Ashamed she couldn't do anything. Ashamed that she fell for his lies. As scared as she was, she reported everything. They took her phone, along with a statement of what exactly happened. She got a therapist to help her through the assault. They took him for questioning, she thought she was getting somewhere when they asked her to meet at the station after a months investigation.

However, she was wrong. They scheduled this meeting, to tell her that they would not be taking the case any further and that he had been let off. They were unable to prove him as guilty due to there being no evidence of the actual event. Xel was upset. She didn't feel safe around the town as it was, and now she knew he'd been let off.. well that just made it a whole lot worse. But anyways, back to present time.
