Maria Pastora Quinteros was born on August 26, 1956 to her mother Maria De La Paz Mendez and father Alejandro Santos in La Union, El Salvador. She passed away in her home on April 1, 2022 at the age of 65.
Maria was the first in her family to come to the United States in 1975. She settled in Los Angeles, California where she worked in a dry cleaners in Beverly Hills. During her residency in California in 1989, she brought over her two daughters from El Salvador, Dora Santos and Lillian Santos. In 1990, she married her husband of 32 years Ricardo Quinteros and shortly after the birth of Maria's first grandchild, she moved from California to Hyattsville, Maryland. Although Maria and Ricardo did not have any children together, she had a total of 8 grandchildren: Kelly Hernandez, Victor Rodriguez, Roxana Santos, Emily Rodriguez, Jazira Rodriguez, my brother , Layla Rodriguez, and me <3
Moving to Maryland, Maria was able to get her own cleaning services company and provided cleaning services mainly in the Washington D.C. area. She became a U.S citizen in January of 2017. Maria was always a determined woman who always was able to accomplish anything she put her mind to. Maria always loved to surround herself with family and friends.
Maria was an amazing, loving woman, mother, grandmother, and friend who worked hard her entire life. Maria loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world and was a woman who went above and beyond for them. She was loved by everyone who got the chance to meet her. She was loved so dearly for the way she cared for others, for always being a genuine, sweet woman, who loved to make jokes, share her stories and make sure that everyone around her was always happy and cared for.
Maria will be loved and missed immensely. She will live in our hearts and we will forever cherish her loving memory forever. Rest in peace Maria, we love you so much.
