---------------------------------------------------------

In the  Vanilla Kingdom

Pure Vanilla cookie was walking around the palace halls like he would usually smiling at the staff passing by in the halls.

Greeting petitioners who seeked  help, Just like any other normal day. And he went on to carry on with his day

While in the Lily garden sipping a fragrant cup of Vanilla tea Pure Vanilla couldn't help but smile.

He remembers the times where he'd share a cup of the same familiar taste with his long time beloved.

His best friend Dark Cacao Cookie. Pure Vanilla  was intrigued with him from the moment they first met at the academy.

His dark mysterious magenta eyes, it was hard to read the man. He was full of mystery and I suppose that's what lured Vanilla in.

The Vanillian King suddenly heard a familiar chrip..'Ah  I suppose it's one of the blue birds again..' He thought.

Pure Vanilla turned His head towards the newfound noise. He  was a bit surprised at the sight, The bluebird held a  dark colored envelope with a dark purple wax  seal.

"Oh.. a message? Thank you blue bird!, I will be sure to read this." He says gently grabbing the envelope

He opens the envelope and finds a carefully handwritten note.

By none other than Dark Cacao himself, he was curious on why Cacao sent a letter on such a random time..

Nonetheless he read it

Which he grew to regret.

The letter read

"Dear Pure Vanilla cookie.

How have you been as of late? I do apologize for the lack of contact between us but I have news for you.

I'm getting eloped  soon,  Next week, My bride wanted to meet you and  all of the rest of our close friends

So I ask forthright that you attend, it would be a pleasure to have you there, I'll look forward to seeing you again.

Sincerely Dark Cacao Cookie"

His eyes widen, Dark cacao.. was getting wedded..?

He  felt heartbroken, what was this bitter feeling?.

What really was it..?

He couldn't help but feel slightly envious.. he couldn't help but wish it was him who he was getting wedded too.

Nonetheless this world is cruel  after all. But he wanted Cacao to be happy.

And if wedding someone else rather than him himself, is  what makes him happy, he'd gladly allow it.

Even if it hurts even if it stings so bitterly, after all now he had no other choice too.

He closed the letter and paused for a moment, he let a small tear slip down but he was quick to wipe it away before a maid entered.

"Your Majesty are you alright?"
"Oh.. I'm fine! You don't need to worry about me."
He forced a smile at the maid not wanting to worry her further

"If you say so Lunch is ready.."
Before the maid left she heard her king call out for her.

"My dear friend Dark Cacao Cookie is getting wedded soon, his weddings next week and I wish to attend"

Vanilla spoke those words with a slight bit of venom in them, but keeping his usual tone intact.

"Oh! Well congrats to the newly weds shall we start planing for your trip sire?"

Pure Vanilla nodded and Tucked the envelope in a pocket in his robes. "Yes we shall but  if you'd excuse me to my chambers for a bit." He'd smile again

And in his chambers Vanilla sat and stared at the letter once more hoping that he didn't misread anything but.. unfortunately he read it all correctly the first time

He tried to feel happy about it but no matter what he'd always have this bittersweet feeling of jealousy but also.. the want to see his beloved happy.

Indeed it was a bittersweet letter to start the week off wasn't it?.
