Cries of fury rang through the the dark halls and chambers filled with an ominous mist that lingered low towards the ground. Streaks of electro, blasts of anemo, and crashing boulders of geo as a living and breathing force of nature ripped through the fatui guards like fire through ice. Cries of agony as the Fatui fell to the vengeful blade of the agile petite blonde. Each strike more aggressive then the last.
"Hold your ground we must defend the factory until Lord Harbinger arri —AAUURFGGHH!?"he shrieked in a dying cry as steel charged by electro slayed him where he stood.
Eyes of honey amber burned with a deadly gleam as she rose to her feet and flicked the blood off her sword. "She's not human!"a mirror maiden shrieked before she too was slayed with a sharp blade but this time of anemo.
"Stop her don't let her advance!!"
"You damn Fatui will taste my blade for what you have done."came the blonde's frigid tone as she glared over her shoulder. Her pupils briefly changing to look like that of her brother's own. "I shall teach you the power that the stars hold."

Just up ahead that is where she was he had no doubts in his mind. However Xiao had not expected to to run into of all people to be that kitsune. The high priestess of Narukami Shrine actually had an expectant and mischievous gleam in her eyes at the sight of him. "I was wondering when you'd show up lil' bird."she hummed.
"Yae, why are you here?"he asked swiftly. "I do not have time for your games."
"Ara ara~! No need to be using that tone with me. I'm here for the same reason you are, after all now come with me Xiao-chibi."soothed Yae as she slipped inside the factory. Xiao followed her inside and instantly almost stumbled, his breath hitching. The miasma that filled this place was thick across the floor like a sickening purple mist. It took everything in him to compose himself. Just what in the seven archons of Tevyet was this place!?
"This factory creates Delusions via using the very Vision taken from the Vision Hunt Decree."Yae explained. "Unless you hurry ahead you're going to loose your lil' nagareboshi. But in your current form you aren't going to reach her fast enough, dear. Now will you do?"
Xiao realized she was right even with his ability to teleport he probably wouldn't make it not with this miasma. A chill ran up his spine as the building shook violently. "She is fighting."he thought. The tattoo along his arm began to give off a glow not of green but of gold that light began to gather howling winds where none existed to swallow him and just as fast the wind bolted forward as a lone golden vermillion feather floated down for Yae to catch.
"So finally once again the Golden Winged King takes flight."hummed Yae as she continued after him at her own pace. With blinding speed of the wind at his command Xiao raced down until he could hear Lumine's voice as well as another's just ahead.
"You're getting all worked up over nothing, Traveler. Huh! I never pegged you for being so weak."came the unknown male's voice.
"How dare you! How can you say this is nothing!?"came Paimon's angry cry.
"How can you call it anything more? Human life is worthless and they were all bound to die anyways. Do have any idea how useful the Vision Hunt Decree is to us? I took so much work to get it to happen and it was in our best interests."the stranger's voice echoed again.
"How dare you, how dare you toy with so many people's lives and ambitions!?"came Lumine's snarl as Xiao got closer. The stranger's words only seemed to make the tone in Lumine's voice all the more angry and made the young yaksha speed up. With a blast of wind the doors slammed open and cleared away the delusions' miasma to reveal Lumine struggling to breath.
"Lumine!!"came his sharp cry as the winds vanished to reveal Xiao crouched protectively over her. IT was so hard to make out as her vision was failing her but spread out to shield her from Scaramouche's stunned expression were a pair of brilliant wings of gold, vermillion, and teal feathers. Xiao's worry and distress as he looked at her with each wheezing breath she took. "It's alright I got you."he whispered.
"...X-Xiao...?"she struggled to speak as before her as she consciousness failed a single flick of his wing had sent a blast of electro flying right back at the Balladeer as Yae came into sight. But then only darkness greeted her. "Hmnph...."
Xiao stared with a gaze that could kill if it could as slitted pupils and golden eyes locked onto the 6th Fatui Harbinger. "YOU!! You're the worthless wretch did this to her."he tone frigid and laced with venom.
"Now, now, Alatus. Take your your mate out of here and wait for me at the Narukami Shrine. I know how to deal with the Balladeer here, darling."soothed Yae as she reached into her kimono and pulled out an all too familiar chess piece like object. Xiao didn't need anymore convincing as he before their eyes Xiao's form changed into a huge elegant bird.
Massive in size as he let out a furious hawk like screech. Ribbon like feathers ran from his head in the hues of teal and black. His tiger-like golden eyes remained as his sharp hawk-like beak clacked in annoyance. His beauty breath taking with his hues of gold, vermillion wings that were truly massive. Long flowing peacock like feathers that had hues of violet, teal, white, and black as swirling wind like markings of green covered his body. Taloned feet with such careful and tender care grabbed Lumine before Paimon hastened to grab hold of his tail feathers before in a dark mist he vanished. Once outside his mighty wings whipped up the winds with his anemo as he flew for the shrine.
"Xiao is that really you?"yelped Paimon hanging on for dear life.
"Of course it is you annoying loud fairy. How dare you handle my feathers so callously, you show complete disrespect for the adepti!"came his sharp retort.
"Yep you're Xiao...heh heh. Paimon knows that grouchy tone anywhere."Paimon gulped as she sweatdropped at his reply.
"Hmph. Whatever just hang on because I am not slowing down for you."Xiao warned with another strong stroke of his wings. The sight of him shooting across the sky was a sight the people of Inazuma had not expected. The sight of such a large and beautiful bird flying with brilliant wings of golden vermillion as the shriek of a celestial fairy hanging on for dear life. Xiao cared not but he missed this feeling of the wind under his wings as she turned to glide on a warm updraft current like some hawk hunting a rabbit. The shrine maidens were taken aback at the sight as the huge adeptus bird circled before starting to glow revealing Xiao with Lumine in his arms but his wings for now remained as he landed Yae had also just arrived.
"Leave, this here is my guest from Liyue."Yae ordered sharply.
"Yes Miko Yae!"they called and hurried away.
Yae hurried to over to where Xiao now stood crouched, his golden wings like a shroud over the precious woman in his arms that was struggling for her life. Yae offered a smile as she bent down taking caution. "Alatus, let me see her dear, I can save our dear traveler but I need to do it now."she urged.
Aftar a pause and a concerned glance at Lumine's ailing face his wings vanished into particles of light as he let the kitsune take her. "Do what you must."he whispered. Yae smiled holding Lumine close as she took Lumine over to the sacred thunder sakura tree and laid her down. Her electro Vision began to glow as before Xiao's eyes Yae had begun her work. All he could do was watch and pray they had made it in time.
