Can i be yours everyday and forever?

Leni hated going to the beach

It was one of the things that reminded her of her late husband. Although she said she'd move on, the thought of him still pains her

But now there she was, standing by the beach, watching the calming waves crash against each other while she gets lost in thought. After winning the election for Presidency, her daughters, along with Risa thought it'd be a great idea to celebrate her victory with a little vacation

It took a little bit of convincing, the now President saying she should be starting on her work as the new leader of the country (also hesitant because of the fact that the kids decided that the vacation would take place in a resort). But she couldn't resist the puppy eye Risa was just giving her, she can't resist this woman in any way at all

Risa watched Leni from the resort house's balcony. To the left was Risa's and Leni's children happily playing volleyball, it makes her smile seeing them happily bonding like that

She starts heading towards where Leni stood, placing a hand behind her beloved's back to have her know the younger woman's presence before Risa wrapped her arms around Leni's waist, her chin rests atop the older woman's shoulder "Parang ang lalim ng ini-isip mo mahal" She spoke softly, a small smile on her face when she felt Leni lean in to her touch "We should be celebrating your victory"

A small chuckle escapes Leni "Alam ko...Natutuwa rin ako. Pero hindi naman yun naiisip ko mahal" Leni says, resting her head just under the younger woman's jaw. Leni sighs "Alam ko ilang beses ko na sinabing naka move-on na'ko kay Jesse, totoo naman, hindi ko na sya mahal na katulad ng pagmamahal ko sayo"

Risa smiled "So ano problema?"

"I just..." Leni sighed again "There's a part of me na...takot na mangyari rin sayo yung nangyari kay Jesse..." She admits, softly squeezing the younger woman's arm that held her lovingly "Maybe i'm overthinking it"

"It's normal for you to be worried, madalas rin naman akong nag-aalala sayo mahal" Risa tells her with a small kiss on her head "Pero i'm never leaving you. Aawayin ko si God kung sasabihin nyang time ko na" Leni lets out a small laugh at her joke and hearing her laugh just warms Risa's heart all the time. She softly squeezes the older woman before turning to face her, her hands still wrapped around Leni's waist "Gusto mo maglakad-lakad?"

Leni nods and there they started walking on the side of the beach, hand-to-hand "Is that why you were hesitant na mag-bakasyon?"

"Kasama sa dahilan" Leni answers, her head resting against the taller woman's shoulder "Para bang binigyan ako ng phobia. Tsaka syempre, i still have alot of work to do as the President"

Risa chuckled and their walk comes to a stop as she turns to face the older woman again "My President. Always ready to help her people, kaya ako nai-in love sayo Leonor eh" She turns to give her beloved a kiss on her forehead "I'm not trying to rid you from your duties, pero kailangan mo ren ng pahinga once in a while"

"Nambola ka pa" Leni retorted, ignoring Risa's second sentence before giggling. She reaches for the younger woman's hands, her thumb softly running across Risa's knuckles "Hindi mo talaga ako iiwan mahal?" Her tone of voice changes into something softer, looking up at the taller woman in the eye and Risa felt like she had melted right then and there

"Of course i wouldn't mahal, hindi ko kayang iwan ka" Risa squeezed the hands that held hers, her eyes wandering behind Leni where their children stood just a few feet away from them. They were looking at her with a grin on their faces as they held up a thumbs up to her, Leni was completely oblivious to it "Gusto mo bang patunayan kong 'di kita iiwan?"

Leni smiled "Anong iniisip mong gawin?"

"Well..." A shaky breath escapes Risa as she looks back at the older woman "The kids and i have been planning for this and..." Risa bit her lip as she hesitates, squeezing her beloved's hand softly

"And? Ano bang plinano nyo?"

"Matagal ko na talagang pinag-isipan yung gagawin ko. And, uhm..." Risa's right hand let go of Leni's, reaching for the back pocket of her shorts where she kept a small box. She takes the box out "Today's the day na sasabihin ko na" Risa finally reveals the small box that she held on her hand to the older woman before kneeling down on one knee. She eyes their children who watched them intently before turning back to see her lover's reaction

Risa squeezed the hand that she was still holding as she manages to open the box with one hand, revealing the ring which shone against the sunlight, a beautiful diamond, just like the older woman's birthstone "We've been together now for 4 years, had our ups and downs. And dami na nating nadaanan together, and yet nandito parin tayo ngayon. We had great memories together, and i want to make more in the future. Tinatanong mo kung iiwanan ba kita and this is my answer, i'm keeping you forever, and i hope i'm the same to you"

The older woman stood there stunned, mouth agape as she process the situation infront of her. Risa gulped "Maria Leonor Gerona, can i be yours everyday and forever?" She aks, holding out the ring infront of her

Leni could not stop the tears that fell out of her eyes, one hand covering her mouth as she happily nods at the younger woman. Risa immediately got up, engulfing her beloved in a tight hug as they cry out happy tears

Their hug does not last as Risa went to grab the ring out of the box, reaching for Leni's left hand "Talaga ba mahal?" Risa asks for confirmation and Leni nods again

The ring looked beautiful on Leni's hand and Risa went in to place a soft kiss on her knuckles before leaning in to give the older woman a loving kiss, arms wrapping around her waist

"Kasalan na!!" They weren't sure which voice it came from as they were tackled into a group hug from their children. Laughter filled the air and the kids congratulated both women, telling them how happy they are for their mothers

After a few pictures that they took, the 7 of them went to give the two lovers their alone time as they went back to the resort house. Risa and Leni stood infront of the beach, the taller woman's arms wrapped around Leni as they watched the sunset together

"I love you mahal" Risa broke their silence

"I love you too, asawa ko" Leni laughed at the woman's flustered face as she was bombed with kisses all over her face

This is a moment she will never forget, maybe going to the beach isn't so bad after all
