Lost in your eyes

Welcome in town Charley !

CHAPTER 01 :

The wind in my hair, I look out the window. Another summer without my father...I must admit that since he left I feel lost, as if I was missing something, or someone in my life. My mother tried to live in our house full of memories in the Bahamas, but it was impossible. So here I am today in my little car, on the way to a small town called "Outer banks", where I will probably spend a part of my life. People say it's heaven on earth with its beautiful beaches. I'll believe it as soon as I see it

-We are coming soon Honey is waiting to see the landscapes, it's impressive! - yeah we'll see I give a mocking face in the rearview mirror Through my window I can see the turquoise signs "The outer banks paradise on earth" I admit that the landscapes are magnificent, it looks a bit like the Bahamas but with a little thing more "cool", I feel that I'm going to like it here. I let out a smile that lights up my face

The car turns into a poorly maintained alley with some kind of wooden shacks, my mother says that people here call this neighborhood "The Wreck". -I'm going to drop you off at your cousin John B, he's an adult now, I know you don't know him very well but I'm sure you'll love him, he'll take good care of you, she smile. Wow...as if my mother wanted to get rid of me. I immediately lost my smile. Yes, we are moving but we are far from being rich. While I was in my thoughts, the sound of wheels on the rocks from the driveway gets me out of my head

I get out of the car quickly and I see a hammock hanging from two trees, a chicken pen but what piques my curiosity is a big tree further. I move away a little to observe then I hear my mother say: - I'm unloading your bags darling don't go too far away! I give her a sign that I understand and I continue on my way.

I approach slowly and I see something on this tree as if it had been burned to write something on it "John Booker Routledge 2003-2020" before i can understand someone suddenly grabs me and tackles me to a tree
-Who are you, what are you doing here?! a boy with blond hair and blue eyes like the ocean is in front of me looking panicked

Whoa calm down I'm John B's cousin I think you call him that? he quickly releases both my arms and his face relaxes. - Omg don't scare me like that! but you're sure because this is our kind of headquarters, not just anyone can come here! I let out a little laugh - Is it supposed to be private? I point the open yard towards the abandoned alley

Uh yeah he said in a direct tone I roll my eyes -I'm Charleys I extend my hand to him directly to greet him He takes my hand looking at me with his beautiful eyes - So your name is JJ? - it seems like. -Okay JJ so you're my cousin's friend I imagine because if you were a stranger I would have to kick you out of here right away! He lets out a laugh and I smile at him.

-I am his best friend
-oh cool...I said shyly. always staring into each other's eyes, getting interrupted by my mom and other people like JJ
