Chapter 2

Foxy and Roxy went to Roxanne's room with the twins.

The two children lay down wearily on the couch. Roxy covered Maisie and Ben with a blanket.

Monty was still making a hell of a racket in his room. He roared like a dinosaur.

Foxy sighed annoyed. "Can't that alligator stop making noise?"

"I'm going to see Monty right now and stuff his bass guitar in his mouth!" said Roxy growling. "Then he will stop."

"I don't like Monty. He's always so loud and creepy." said the little girl.

"I don't like that alligator either." said Ben. "Bonnie was way better than Monty."

Foxy looked at the twins and nodded.

Roxy growled, "That alligator is getting on my nerves."

Foxy sat down on the couch with the two children. Ben snuggled up to the pirate fox.

Foxy smiled softly.

It took a while for Monty to stop the noise.

Maisie and Ben had fallen asleep.

Foxy was sleeping too.

Roxy stood in front of the mirror and started combing her beautiful long hair and tail.

Her appearance always had to be beautiful.

Suddenly Maisie woke up crying. She was having a nightmare.

Roxanne turned away from the mirror and sat on the couch with the crying girl.

Roxy hugged Maisie. "Everything is fine, my sweet. I'm here." She said softly.

"Mommy," the girl said to the animatronic wolf.

Roxy smiled softly and had her silver tail wrapped protectively around the little girl.

Foxy and Ben woke up too.

"What's the matter, Maisie?" Ben asked looking at his sister.

The little girl didn't answer and snuggled closer to Roxanne.

"She had a nightmare." Roxy answered the little boy.

"I can tell you two a great pirate story." Foxy said looking gently at Maisie.

Ben and Maisie nodded.

The red pirate fox began to tell the story.

After that, the two children fell asleep again.

Roxy snuggled up to Foxy.
