Lea

"Baka naman like as a friend lang?" Regine's assumption when I told them what happened in Tagaytay.

"Ano'ng ginawa mo pagkatapos? Dapat tinanong mo kung paanong like. Platonically? Romantically? Malay mo parehas kayo ng nararamdaman." Vice leaned towards the table.

We're at the coffee shop right now and it's Sunday, kakauwi ko lang from Tagaytay. Syempre the two of them have to know what happened yesterday.

"Wala. I... I became silent. And then... I... I left him there?"

"Ay putanginaka?" Regine coughed many times because she was sipping her drink and did even ask for a tissue so I gave her one.

"Siraulo ka." Vice unbelievably laughed at me. "Seriously, Lea? You left him hanging again?"

I bit my bottom lip because I felt guilty again. Eh sa hindi ko alam ang sasabihin eh. Alangang sabihin kong thank you?

"Kausapin mo siya ngayon! As in ngayon na!" Regine commanded me and even tapped the table.

"Anong sasabihin ko?" I nervously asked.

"Hindi mo kailangan ng sasabihin! Just call him and tell him na magkita kayo ngayon. Nakakaawa 'yung tao. Ikaw nanghalik tapos ikaw mangs-snob? Sino ka naman diyan?" Regine sipped from her drink then coughed again. "Tah kah talaga, nasasamid ako sa'yo," she said then shook her head.

I exhaled and looked at Vice whom I know also want me to do what Regine told me. Mali naman talaga 'yung ginawa ko kay Aga. At saka, it's been three years since my last relationship, naninibago ang lola niyo sa mga ganitong bagay. Saka mahirap mag-assume.

"Hello?" I greeted Aga from the other line.

We're still in the coffee shop and the two are watching me while calling Aga to make sure that I'll do it right this time.

"Ahm, could we see each other?" I scratched my ear then glanced at the two. "Ahm, here at Beans and Tea. I'm actually here right now." My heart pounded so loud when he said yes, he's coming. The question is, why am I excited to see him?

"Kaya mo na 'yan, ha. Malaki ka na. Doon lang kami sa kabilang table." Regine tapped my shoulder and walked towards the other table far from where I am right now.

Vice smiled at me. "Aga's a nice guy, Lei. As a friend, he's the one that I'd want for you." He tapped my shoulder. "Saka sabi mo good kisser, grab mo na."

I laughed when he said those and left me here alone at the table to join Regine. I looked back to them and I can't help but to smile. I'm just so lucky to have them in my life, without them I wouldn't know what to do. I love my friends that it hurts.

I straightened my back when my eyes catched Aga since the shop has a translucent glass. I raised my hand so that he would see me. I smiled when he looked at me, although he has a serious face.

"Do you want to order something? I'll order it for you," I offered him and was about to stand when he stopped me by grabbing my hand.

"Let's just talk, because I've been thinking about what happened all night, specifically you."

I gulped. Ayan na naman siya. Motto niya ba sa buhay ang honesty is the best policy to make other people guilty?

I nodded and sighed. "First of all, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Aga." I looked at him. "I'm so sorry that I snobbed you and left you hanging twice despite of how hard you've tried to reach. I was wrong. I just don't know what to say to you and how to act in front you."

He nodded. "I understand, Lea."

Halos maiyak naman ako dahil doon. Wala ba siyang hinanakit sa akin? Like-please don't understand me???
