~ Chapter 1 ~

A/n - i started my period in the middle of science and had to survive 3 hours without a pad, i'm so unlucky bruh

Y/n's POV

"AHHH!" I yelped, falling off my bed, dragging my blanket with me.

I glared at my phone and shut my alarm off.

"I will never understand how some people do this every day" I groaned.

I stood up and started to walk out my room, but just ended up falling on my face, after tripping over my blanket.

"Ughhhhh!" I groaned for what felt like the tenth time in 2 minutes, and was very tempted to just lay on the floor.

'No Y/n' I told myself.

'Otherwise you won't be able to pay rent and will have to go back to your parents house'  and with the small will power left in me and stood up.

Pulling up into the parking lot, I stared at the Mega Pizza Plex, the bright colours on the outside already hurting my eyes.

Taking the key the manager had given me, I opened the front door and walked in, looking around.

'How do children not get eyesight problems from all these LED lights?' I asked myself.

"Oh, hello!" I turned my head towards the front desk and saw a plump lady with brunette hair tied up in a bun and blue eyes.

"Um, hi" I said, waving awkwardly.

"You must be the new employee...Y/n, correct?" the woman asked, looking down at a clipboard. (my dumbass just published this unfinished draft by accident)

"Yup" I said, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.

"My name is Madeleine, but you can call me Maddie" the woman smiled.

I smiled back.

"We've assigned you to the daycare, you will be working with Sundrop" she said, pulling something out from under the desk.

"This is your uniform" she said, handing me a pile of clothes.

"What's your shoe size by the way? We need it so we can order your uniform shoes" she asked taking out a notepad and pen, looking back up at me.

"(your shoe size)" I replied.

"Alright cool, come with me" she said, starting to walk towards the staircase.

~ Small Time Skip ~

"And that's the changing room" Maddie said, smiling at me.

"Cool" I smiled back.

Suddenly a guy walked in.

"Dave!" Maddie said, her smile somehow widening.

The guy, whose name I assumed was Dave, turned around and smiled.

"Heyyy, who's this?" he asked pointing at me.

"This is Y/n, they're your new co-worker; Y/n this is Dave, he works at the front desk, checks the kids in and out, you know?" I nodded and smiled at my new co-worker.

'He seems like a nice guy' I thought to myself.

"Well, I'll leave you two be, Dave, can you check on Y/n if anything happens?" Maddie asked, the smile never leaving her face.

"Yeah, sure!" Dave smiled at Maddie, and she left.

Dave turned to me "Have you met Sundrop yet?" I shook my head.

"Put your uniform on and then you can come and meet him" Dave said, pushing me gently towards the changing rooms.

"Sooo, what kind of person is Sundrop? I mean, it sounds like a pretty...umh...unique name for a person" Dave chuckled.

"Who said Sundrop was a person?".
