Bella's bedroom door suddenly opened and my attention wheeled to her. Smudged mascara framed her guarded eyes, making her look like a raccoon. She was clad in a matching pair of yellow rubber duck pyjamas. I couldn't help but smile. As my lips turned up, hers followed right after.

"Bella," I rose up from the couch slowly and eyed her cautiously.

"What are you waiting for, bitch?" she asked suddenly. "I haven't seen you in forever! Come hug me."

A weight lifted off my chest as she crossed the room and hugged me tightly. My body relaxed into hers and her familiar lavender scent engulfed me. I thought for sure she'd be mad at me. And without a doubt, I would've deserved it. She had to leave behind everything because of me.

"Bella, I'm so sorry." I whispered against her neck, eyes brimming with tears.

She moved back from my neck to look me in the eyes, hands on both my shoulders. "It's not your fault, Brielle." she whispered, thumb wiping away a treacherous tear that slipped out of my left eye. "Hey, Clairmont was a small town anyway. We'd never meet the Sprouse brothers staying there," she winked playfully.

I couldn't help but laugh. We grew up watching them on TV. Dylan was my husband and Cole was hers. If she was making jokes, she must've been fine. Words couldn't describe how relieved that made me.

"The Sprouse brothers?" Lucky cocked a brow at me, eyes full of confusion.

"Our childhood husbands," I shrugged with a wide grin.

"As long as they were just in your childhood," he narrowed his eyes playfully before reaching out and pulling me back onto his lap.

"Dylan will always have a part of my heart, sorry." I kissed the tip of his nose. His beautiful eyes narrowed into two slits, causing me to chuckle.

"Ouch man," Kalona laughed as he appeared in the living room doorway.

"As much as I missed you, Bri," Bella paused to send me a genuine smile, "my first day of uni is tomorrow and I need to be looking hot for my first day."

"Yes," I smiled. "Plenty of college boy hearts you can break now."

"I can't wait," Bella clasped her hands excitedly and slowly backed towards the bedroom. "No more rules, Brielle. We're free women," she winked before running into her new bedroom and shutting the door. She was right. We weren't confined to that awful boarding school anymore.

"Quite the personality that one has," Kalona shook his head slowly, eyes wide. "Never a boring moment on the road."

"She's special," I laughed in agreement. "I'm just happy she's okay." I leaned back and smiled up at my handsome man.

"I told you everything was going to be okay, baby." Lucky returned my smile and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips.

I thought back to how Lucky and I travelled here. The first few hours were pretty silent after I had caught my dorms on fire, but Lucky managed to yank me out of my depression. We made an occasional stop to sightsee or grab ice cream. Other stops were to do a little something in the backseat of the jeep. I blushed at the memory. Oh, I'd miss that jeep.

"Lucky, my man," Kalona interrupted from the entrance to the living room. "Go feed. I can feel your hunger from here," he shivered with a frown. "You need to keep your strength up with a hunter after us. Get your shit together," he shook his head disapprovingly and started to walk away.

"I was trying to do it earlier when your arrogant ass interrupted me," Lucky called after him mockingly.

"Excuses, excuses," Kalona responded before I heard a door close.

I watched in amusement as Lucky rolled his eyes.

"You heard the man," I whispered before placing my fingers on his chin and turning his head towards me. "Feed on me." His blue eyes quickly bled to a solid black. I held back a gasp at the abrupt change and goosebumps raised on my arms.

"Yes," he whispered, voice strained. In the blink of an eye he had me pinned down on the couch beneath him. His lips captured mine in a heated, lustful kiss. Warmth spread throughout me as one hand explored my body and the other effortlessly held my arms above my head.

"Lucky," I whispered breathily as I struggled to move away from his addictive lips. With a low growl, he immediately latched his lips onto my exposed neck. "Lucky," I repeated again, a moan spilling out through my parted lips as he sucked on my neck roughly. That was surely going to leave a mark. "Let's go to our room." We weren't the only people in the house anymore. If Bella or Kalona witnessed us having sex on the couch, I'd be mortified.

Finally unlatching his sinful lips from my skin, he pulled back to gaze down at me with drowning eyes. "Whatever you want, my love." he smiled and stood up in a flash with me in his arms.

My head spun slightly at the quick movement. "Please give me a warning before you do that at least," I laughed and glared at him playfully as he hurriedly headed towards our bedroom.

"Sorry," A look of embarrassment crossed his face. "I'm so used to being myself with you, I forget how fragile you are." he teased and kissed my forehead.

"I'm not fragile," I pouted as he kicked open our door and quickly closed it behind him.

"No?" he grinned down at me in amusement, a devilish smirk playing on his lips. "We'll see about that." An evil look seeped into his eyes.

"What-" I began but the words caught in my throat as I was abruptly launched airborne. I landed in the dead center of the large bed and stared up at the ceiling with wide eyes.

Lifting up my head, I glared at the incubus stood at the doorway with a wide grin sprawled across his face. "Are you crazy?" I exclaimed, my blood rushing with adrenaline.

His eyes glittered with laughter before it spilled out in a roar. "That was hilarious," he held his hand to his chest and approached me while still laughing. The sound was truly melodic and contagious. I couldn't help but laugh with him.

That damn demon was going to be the death of me.
