Episode 17 (May Sweeps/Part 1)

The Logan-Forrester Mansion

On his way over the mansion, Ridge contemplated of what to say when it came to Brooke. In a way he's been ducking and dodging her the most since the affair was revealed, but it wasn't fair to Brooke since she wanted to make things work with her husband. Arriving at the mansion, Ridge got out his car and walked up to the house before he opened the door with his keys, seeing Brooke with Deacon on the couch chatting.

Ridge – *Frowns* "I'm sorry, did I interrupt anything between the man who slept with my wife?"

Brooke – "Oh, Ridge, he was just here visiting me"

Deacon – "Okay, this is where I make my exit Brooke. Take care of yourself, okay?"

Deacon leaves the mansion and walks past Ridge, ignoring him before he was completely out of the way leaving just Brooke and Ridge by themselves.

Ridge – "Thank god he's out of here"

Brooke – "Why are you so threatened by him? He was just here for a visit like I told you, where have you been lately?"

Ridge – "You did get my text, correct? It's been very busy for me today, Brooke, but we can talk now"

Brooke – "Well it's about time Ridge we do that. There's a lot for us to discuss"

Ridge – "Logan, look, I get that you didn't want to hurt me but why not say anything the day after? You don't think I would understand and being upset at the same time?"

Brooke – "So that I wouldn't be embarrassed and humiliated at the same time Ridge. Especially since with Deacon it would have made you do something stupid to him like the fight that could have turned out much worse at the restaurant"

Ridge – "The only reason I didn't go far enough was because of the other situation going on with my family Brooke"

Brooke – "You're family? The one with Taylor and the children, right?"

Ridge – "What's the supposed to mean?"

Brooke – *Shakes his head* "Never mind Ridge, let's not even talk about her"

Ridge – "Logan, don't be selfish alright? Taylor has been through so much lately the past couple of days, not everything is about you"

Brooke – "What's that supposed to mean?"

Ridge – "Can we just get back to us Logan? How can we repair everything?"

Brooke – "By standing by one another and making sure were a united front. I was drunk that night of the affair, remember when you stood by me? Would you have done the same thing?"

Ridge – "Yes, I would have and if you were just HONEST enough with me, at first it would have been painful. It's everything else that upsets me"

Brooke – "And I get all that Ridge, what can we do, what can I do to fix this? I'll do anything"

Ridge – "I don't know Logan; we need to process everything"

Brooke – "What are you saying?"

Ridge – "Maybe, it's time that we take some time a part and think about our future. With Taylor and everything else going on, it's way too much for me to handle"

Brooke – "Alright.... if that's how you feel. Maybe you're right then Ridge"

Ridge – *Walks up to her and takes her hand* "No matter what, you're always going to be my Logan. I'll go ahead and get my things to pack up, I love you"

Brooke – "I love you too Ridge, always"

Brooke watched Ridge walk upstairs with tears in her eyes after the let go of her hand. Ridge felt the waterworks coming down through his cheeks as he stopped at the top of the stairs before wiping his eyes, then went to the bedroom to pack up. Both didn't want it to end like this, but maybe for the time being the two can reconcile and make things right in the end.
