Fast forward one week. Everett was right, she knew the break was never going to end, so she broke up with him. She wasn't going to wait around for him to decide whether or not if he loved her or not. She was smart for that, well.. Ashlyn told her to do that because she wasn't going to let a boy with a mullet tear her apart anymore.

They still snap sometimes but it's not the same as it was. It never will be. Everett has been snapping guys, a lot of guys trying to fill that hole that Luke had left. Her best friend, Laura sat beside her on on the phone with her boyfriend, Chester. Everett was playing Fortnite on Laura's xbox that she brought over to Everett house.

Laura hung up with Chester. She giggled and shook her head.

"He just called me to tell me that he just pulled a jib out of a toilet at the park bathroom." Everett made a sour face of disgust.

"Out of a toilet?" She asked as she got killed. Laura continued to laugh as she took the controller into her hand since it was her turn.

Everett scrunched her nose and got on her phone and watched as her notification center started to fill up from snaps from guys she's doesn't even know. She had no shame in it, she wasn't sending any of them pictures of her naked body, maybe a few showing some cleavage but nothing bare. She watched as Luke's name popped up, and then Tate Davis.

She went through and opened a bunch of the snaps, minus Luke's. She took a picture of herself and sent that same snap to a bunch of guys. She sighed and cleared her throat. Tate snapped back.

Tate was in a relationship with his girlfriend for nearly a year, until about a week ago. She didn't even know whether or not he was still in that relationship and was confused that he had snapped her back. She opened that snap.

"Hot asf" the snap said.

She hated being called that.

Tate had dark wavy short hair with blonde highlights. He had pretty blue eyes with tremendously long eyelashes. He had braces and acne but wasn't bad looking at all, he was always dressing up and seemed to of loved his shoes more than his own mother.

Everett scrunched her nose and shook her head. She put on a fake smile and snapped him back.

"tysm!" She replied. Then she texted her friend Maddy who seems to know everything about EVERYONES business. Everett didn't know how and she didn't question it.

'Is Tate Davis still with Maddie?'

Yes they have the same name but spelled differently.

'No. They broke up and idk if i can ever believe in love now😭' Maddy wrote back.

'Lmfao.'

She switched her phone off and watched as Laura played Fortnite. It reminded her of Luke. I know, it's lame, she also knows it's lame but anytime they would FaceTime she would hear the sound of the controller clicking and gunshots ringing out from the TV.

Whatever.

Everett got back on her phone and scrolled through Instagram and got her mind off things. She watched clips of softball and volleyball highlights taking notes and imaging herself in those crazy plays that took place. She was a good athlete, but not good enough to play in travel ball. She was always a starter but didn't stand out from everyone else.

Her eyes began to grow heavy and then saw at the top of her screen.

'Tate Davis is typing...'

She furrowed her eyebrows.

"You got a new bf?" Laura teased as she glanced over at her friends phone. Everett shook her head and clicked on the notification.
