present day

// Antonio's POV //

I jolted up from my bed, that dream was too realistic to not believe, I sighed and wiped my forehead removing a bunch of sweat. I got off my bed to walked towards my bathroom, once I locked the door, I started to take off my clothes and entered in the shower, thinking about the dream I just had. "Why must she always appear?" I thought as I stared to the showerhead. After eight minutes, I got out and changed into my usual outfit. I styled my hair into a low ponytail and moved a few strands to cover my eyepatch.

"Bonjour, grand frere!" Amelie greeted as she cooked breakfast, I lazily nodded at her and sat beside Feliciano eating his pasta, "Ciao, big brother!" He smiled while eating, I patted his hair curly hair and grabbed the remote control, turning on the television. A bunch of news telling about some festival was showing, I sighed and just turned it off. "Never seen you like this, Antonio." Marianna said as she crawled to the sofa, "Oi, chica. Where's your crutches?" I asked and she answered me by pointing up to the ceiling, meaning she left it in her room. I carried her and placed her between me and Feli, just watching the blank screen right in front of us.

"Eh, why are you all looking at the.. blank television?" Amelie asked as she entered the room with our breakfast on her hands, we all answered with a shrug as she sighed. "Here's you two's breakfast. Now I must be going, Charles is waiting for me at the gate." She said as she grabbed her beret and her car keys, "I'm off now. Au revior~" She said as she went out of the house, leaving us eating.

after breakfast

"Irmão mais velho, você viu meu grampo de capulo?" Marianna asked as she searched on one of the cabinets on her room, "Its okay, chica. I'll help you find your clip." I said as I looked on her higher cabinets, "Aha! Ahì vas hermana." I said as I gave her the clip and left her room, I then wore my usual gray jacket and headed out, walking around the streets.

"¿Padre? ¿Qué estás haciendo aquí en la frontera americana?" A feminine voice said from above, looking up I saw my adopted daughter, Teresa with her friends above the border, "How did I not notice I'm this close on the border?" I thought as I blinked, "Lo siento, chica. I wasn't paying attention, what are you even doing up there?" I asked as I crossed my arms on my chest, Teresa tensed and her wings twitched. "Lo siento, padre. Perdí una apuesta de Andrew y ahora tenemos que quedarnos aquí hasta el almuerzo." She shouted with a tint of rage and her friends seemed to be mad as well, I sighed and touched the American border.

"Well then have fun, Teresa. I'm visiting your cousins for a moment." I said as I waved her goodbye and continued walking as I heard a faint 'okay, padre' from afar. As I started walking towards my brother-in-law's house, I started to think about Dalisay and her brothers, I was supposed to visit her today but I backed out, that's why I am going to his house.

"Uncle Antonio?"

Translation:
1. Big brother, have you seen my hair clip?
2. Aha! Here you go, sis.
3. Father? What are you doing here on the American Border?
3. I'm sorry, father. I lost a bet on Andrew and I have to stay here until lunch.
