“Allo?” Pierre answered the phone as he set the cell phone against his ear. “Pierre où es tu?” A female voice asked on the line. “Je suis en route pour rentrer à la maison, Estelle. J'emmène une amie avec moi!” he said through the phone as they got a taxi to drive them to his house. “Ah bon? Une autre meuf? Qu’est ce qu’il se passe a ta copine Marine? T’es encore ensemble?" she wondered. “Non, on a rompu il y a deux semaines.”
“Elle n’est pas bonne pour toi. Je la déteste plus de tout mon coeur. C'est une personne nulle.” Estelle admitted honestly to her brother. “Je sais c’est pourquoi on est pas plus ensemble.” Pierre said as he covered the phone speaker to speak with the taxi driver.
“Brotteaux s’il vous plaît." Pierre said to the man courteously. He nodded his head and began driving to his said location. "Estelle, Estelle… tu serais la vois quand on est arrivés. D'accord?" He said to his sister as he was trying to not cause a scene in the taxi.
He finally hung up on her sister and turned to Camille who was looking out the window silently. "You know, Lyon is not a bad city after all." she acknowledged legitimately. “Of course not, it’s a beautiful city. Besides, Lyon is famous for their delicious food. Camille beamed and kissed Pierre’s cheek. “Thank you for taking me here.” she thanked him as she gave him a sweet smile. “No problem. Maybe later, I could take you to a seafood restaurant. Their salmon was fresh out of the sea.” Pierre explained as he turned to look out the window.
“Sure that’ll be great.” she grinned softly. "Excusez-moi Monsieur, on est là." He said, grinning at them politely. “Super… Voilà votre pourboire. Merci beaucoup.” He expressed his gratitude to him. They got out of the taxi and got their luggages out of the vehicle. The man insisted on helping but Pierre refused. As the taxi disappeared in the distance, Pierre turned to Camille and smiled. “Bon, bienvenue chez moi. Ce n’est pas spécial mais j'espère que tu es content ici. Tu es prête pour rencontrer ma famille?” Pierre asked as they walked up to the porch of the large house. “Je ne sais pas, mais et s’ils me détestent?" Camille questioned anxiously. “Ils seraient t’aimes crois moi. Allons-y.” he assured as he knocked on the door three times.
"T'inquiète, tout ira bien.” he added, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. A few minutes later, Pierre’s mother answered the door with a huge smile on her face. “Charles regarde qui est revenu!" she called for her husband joyfully. Charles came to the front door with their pet cat in his hands flabbergasted. “Pierre t’es à la maison! Tu nous manques." he twinkled as he walked towards his son giving him a tight hug. His father turned to Camille and grinned. “Bon, qui est cette meuf?” Charles asked, referring to Camille. “Papa, c’est Camille. Ma meilleure amie. Camille, voici mes parents, Elise et Charles.”
“Bonjour Monsieur et Madame Martin. Je suis Camille. Enchante.” she beamed as she introduced herself to them. “Bonjour Camille. Entrez, faites comme chez vous.” Elise looked at her son as nudged his shoulder, smiling. “Quelle belle jeune femme.” she said as they walked into the living room with each other. “Asseyez-vous s’il vous plaît. Que désirez-vous comme boisson, Camille?” Elise asked as she stepped into the kitchen to make them drinks.
“Quoi que ce soit Madame.” she said as she sat on the couch next to Pierre. “D’accord. Je reviendrai.” she smiled as she began to find something to eat and drink in the kitchen. Camille glanced at Pierre and simply twinkled. “Ta mère est vraiment gentille.”
“Alors Pierre, comment était ta copine, uhhh, elle s’appelle comment encore? Juliette? Bernadette, Constance?” his father wondered as he tried to recall his son’s girlfriend’s name. Pierre chuckled, “Marine?” he said looking at his father weirdly. “Ouais, ouais exactement. Marine! Elle va bien?” Charles said as he sipped onto his cup of coffee in his hands.
