Billie sat on the couch waiting for Ciel to come out. She was scared but she really wants this. For her, this is an opportunity to gained forgiveness from Ciel. She knows what she did might not be acceptable but at least if they can have closure, Billie can sleep in peace. That is what she wants but she knows better that she can never sleep in peace if Ciel hates her.

“So Ms. O’Connell, can you tell me about your experience..” Billie blinks a couple of time and she saw Ciel is at her desk looking at her. She still looked beautiful and Billie wondered how she can be so stupid.

“Ms. O’Connell, I expect an answer when I ask a question. Are you on mute or something?” Ciel looked really serious. She is not like before, smiling and always talk softly. Billie had no idea what happened to her when she start to say something she shouldn’t.

“Cici… I…” She closed her mouth the moment Ciel’s eyes went wide.

“Ms. O’Connell… Who is this Cici? Here, I am Ms. Rossi and I expect you to respect me properly. You can call me Ciel when it is only both of us. But with other stakeholders, please refrain from using my first name. I am Ms. Rossi to you. And Ms. O’Connell, I am not Cici so please stop calling me one.” Billie was surprised by how Ciel talked to her. Ciel is not the same like before and Billie blamed herself for it.

“Sorry, Ms. Rossi… I worked as a business analyst previously for almost a year before I heard about this position. I am interested in becoming a personal assistant to learn more about the work scope.” Ciel raised her eyebrows, nodding. Only God knows how Billie wanted to vomit out of anxious and nervous.

“And based on the job scope, you will have lots of OverTime work. It might be work-related and it might not. Are you really okay with it?” Ciel asked because it’s true. Ciel will want her PA to have extra time to make it easier for her and her daughter. Ciel doesn’t want that to be a burden to her new PA.

“I am okay Ms. Rossi. They have already told me earlier about this and I am okay with it. I am willing to do anything you ask me about work. Staying back later is not a problem.” Billie tried her best to impress Ciel but Ciel never showed any interest in her. It’s true maybe Ciel has moved on from her.

“Ms. Rossi..?” Billie called her because Ciel looked so quiet and she kept on staring at her.

“Yes Ms. O’Connell…” Ciel corrected her seating on her chair. Ciel find it hard. To focus because her soulmate is right in front of her. She tried to be as strong as she can but she is really unsure how long can she survive.

“Are you…. Ciel T.R…. Sorry if I pry to much. You looked just like my ex… erm…” Ciel just hum and look at her straight.

“You should know by now. Do I look like someone else to you? I guess I am because it’s been what? Seven years? My name is Ciel Thea Rossi. Short-form to Ciel T.R… Ring a bell now? And yes, I am your ex-girlfriend, should I say, secret ex-girlfriend? Or maybe we are nothing because no one really knows….” Ciel just showed her blank face and Billie felt a pang of guilt.
