Marguirette [ON-GOING]

Prologue

"You strangled him to death didn't you?"

"I'm sorry, but what bullshit are you spouting right now detective Dave?" I asked in confusion upon hearing his accusations

"You don't have to deny it anymore, you must come with us Aliyah, you are under arrest for murder"

"uh-- what? are you dumb? were you shot in the head? how could I possibly kill my own fiance?" I asked, extremely perplexed

I looked straight into his eyes, those eyes no longer reflect the trust in me that I was used to seeing whenever he looked at me

I turned to look at  my little sister who barged in on my condo with detective Dave

"sister, aren't you going to help me?" I asked 

"I.. I don't know sister.. I think it's better to come with detective Dave so we can prove you innocent" she suggested in a very fragile voice seemingly scared if me

"hah!" I shouted in exasperation 

"you have to come with us" detective Dave said firmly

"no, I'm not coming with you unless you give me an explanation" I said as my body started to tremble in fear, with my tears slowly starting to drip down my face

I backed away from them as I slowly arrived to my opened terrace

"don't come near me! o-or I'll jump" I said with a shaking voice as I tried to threaten them with my life

"you...!" the detective exclaimed in frustration

"sister no!!!" Yanna, my little step sister shouted as she quickly ran to me in a hurry

she held my trembling hand very gently and embraced me

my nerves slowly started calm down as I breathed heavily

"all right, that's it" she said loudly

I felt her mouth approached my ear, I shivered when I felt her tongue licking my ear

"If I can't have you, no one can." she whispered eerily as I felt her pushed me 

since I was at the very edge of the railing I easily lost my balance and fell, as I was falling I saw how she acted as if she didn't expect that I would fall

crazy...!
