"I swear, you've not changed a bit since I first met you seven years ago." Hope says to Noah, a shaggy, brown-haired boy, with fair skin, green eyes and freckles, who she's known since age six. "What is your mothers first name?", he asks. "Why do you do this?" He repeats his question again. "Elizabeth, now answer mine." Hope responds, with a roll of her eyes, her question to which Noah produces no answer. She sighs, hopeless that she may never know. "Have you talked to anyone but me lately" Noah asked with a grin that he somehow conveyed as concerned. "No, you know I haven't, because you ask the same question every day." She replies. They spend the day like they always do, they go down to the park, find a bench, and talk mindlessly till the sun sets. When the sun begins to settle down below the treetops, they both get up, and ride their bikes back to the corner of East Leway and Turnspike, then bid each other adieu. When Hope arrives home, her mother greets her as usual, and then she goes to her room. "It's been seven years, when will she grow up?" Her mother sighs to herself.
