at the beginning of the roleplay, your character will have two level five skills of your choice.

you can learn as many as you'd like after we start.

skills can be raised either by training yourself or with someone of a higher level. skills go up by .5 every time!

note that some skills may be added as they're needed!

hunting
level one - 0-1 prey
level two - 0-2 prey
level three - 0-3 prey
level four - 0-4 prey
level five - 0-5 prey
level six - 1-6 prey
level seven - 2-6 prey
level eight - 3-6 prey
level nine - 4-7 prey
level ten - 4-8 prey
hunting is a necessary skill for most! this is what feeds the pack. pretty self-explanatory. dogs with high level hunting stats can group together to form a hunting party! hunting parties can bring in much large prey, like deer or cattle. large prey equal 5 prey each.

combat
level one - 0-1 damage

level two - 0-2 damage
level three - 0-3 damage
level four - 0-4 damage
level five - 0-5 damage
level six - 1-6 damage
level seven - 2-7 damage
level eight - 3-8 damage
level nine - 4-9 damage
level ten - 5-10 damage
combat is another necessary trait, as this is how you'll protect the pack! pretty self-explanatory. the higher level combat skill, the higher your defense stat will be as well, making you more likely to survive attacks. during a battle, critical hits can also happen.

foraging
level one - 0-3 sticks/herbs
level two - 0-4 sticks/herbs
level three - 0-5 sticks/herbs
level four - 0-6 sticks/herbs
level five - 0-7 sticks/herbs
level six - 1-8 sticks/herbs
level seven - 2-9 sticks/herbs
level eight - 3-9 sticks/herbs
level nine - 4-9 sticks/herbs
level ten - 5-10 sticks/herbs
foraging is how you'll have the materials to build, or herbs to heal! pretty self-explanatory. there's a rare chance you might find cool items!

building
level one - can build a bed
level two - can build a hut with help
level three - can build a hut
level four - can build a den with help
level five - can build a den
level six - can build a food storage
level seven - can build a medicine storage
level eight - can build a medicine den
level nine - can build a nursery
level ten - can build walls
building is crucial for sleep! without at least beds, your dogs will become restless and even sleep deprived. sleep deprived dogs can develope mental illnesses or start hallucinating. some may even die eventually. sleeping also regens energy. it can also help protect camp and such.

digging
level one - can dig a hole for a puppy
level two - can dig a hole for three puppies
level three - can dig a hole for a trainee
level four - can dig a hole for three trainees
level five - can dig a hole for a dog
level six - can dig a hole for three dogs
level seven - can dig a moat with help
level eight - can dig a moat
level nine - can dig a tunnel with help
level ten - can dig a tunnel
digging can help create escape routes and even hidey holes during battles! these holes and tunnels could save lives, especially those of the ones incapable of protecting themselves.

searching
level one - can find large prey
level two - can find large predators
level three - can find small prey
level four - can find small predators
level five - can find fresh water
level six - can find lost puppies
level seven - can find lost trainees
level eight - can find lost dogs
level nine - can detect zombies
level ten - can detect radiation
the searching skill enables a dog to detect things better with their nose. they can find better hunting grounds, danger zones, and safe water. it's a survival skill, and they can even find unknown dogs, or dogs from the pack that have gotten lost. they also have the better ability to detect weather changes.

scouting
level one - raises the safety meter by one
level two - raises the safety meter by two
level three - can unlock small territories
level four - raises the safety meter by three
level five - raises the safety meter by four
level six - can unlock medium territories
level seven - raises the safety meter by five
level eight - raises the safety meter by six
level nine - can unlock large territories
level ten - can find rare items
scouting is how a dog can raise the safety meter for an area. the safety meter is how safe a place the pack is resting at is. the lower the meter, the higher the chance of an attack. scouts can also find new areas and have a better chance of finding rare items!

investigating
level one - can detect white lies
level two - can detect uneasiness
level three - can detect grief
level four - can detect medium lies
level five - can detect anger
level six - can detect sickness
level seven - can detect clues
level eight - can dissect scenes
level nine - can detect mutiny
level ten - can detect zombie infection
investigating is a smaller skill that enables a dog to see through deception and even can dissect an area to find out the truth behind it. they can find clues and even smell out mutiny. at the highest level, they can even smell a hidden zombie infection.

healing
level one - can heal scratches
level two - can heal wounds
level three - can heal minor illnesses
level four - can heal medium wounds
level five - can heal medium illnesses
level six - can heal major wounds
level seven - can heal major illnesses
level eight - can help with birthing/pregnancies
level nine - can heal fractures
level ten - can heal broke bones
healing is the skill vital to keeping the pack healthy. a healer is able to find herbs through foraging and use them to heal various wounds and even help with the birthing process. pretty self-explanatory.
