Years ago I made a vow

One to myself not to fall in love

Watching my friends I quickly learned

Love only led to heartache

I thought I was safe

That I couldn't fall in love 

That it wasn't possible for me

Until I met you.

I didn't know it was possible

But it was, and you did it.

You slowly got me to open up

I don't know why but I let you in

You got in a took my heart.

Because by the time I realized it was too late.

I think the more I tried to push you away.

The more I ended up letting you in when I gave up

My heart is yours now.
