I had already texted Nicolás to meet me at the community park at 4pm and as expected, he showed up thirty minutes late, typical of him, not surprised really. I start with basic calculus and give him a couple questions to practice, and open my literature homework.

I start to work on the essay and five minutes later my phone beeps with a text, I ignore it and continue writing when my phone beeps again. I ignore it again but it beeps for the third time, I pull my phone out of my bag, inwardly groaning and switch my ringer off. I continue writing my essay, when my phone vibrates, this continues for another minute or so when Nicolás decides he's had enough of it and slams his book closed.

"Are you seriously not even going to check who the text is from?" He says, sighing.

"Nope," I reply.

"Well then I'll just check it for you," he says grinning.

"Ugh, fine I'll check it," I groan.

I open my phone and see that Chardonnay the weirdo had texted me, about a million times and I'm not even surprised she has my phone number at this point. What catches my attention is the last text she had sent. 'I have to talk to you and it's a matter of complete urgency,' it read.
