𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐄, Seraphina Denoire smiled as she walked around helping to light others' candles with her own.

"Here you go." She spoke softly as she helped the person to her right light their candle, not paying attention to their face or who they were.

"Thank you." The person spoke just as softly, causing the girl to look up at him excitedly as she recognized the person's voice.

It was Stefan, the teen gazing down fondly at her with a small smile, the girl on the other hand immediately threw herself into his embrace.

"Oh My God, I'm so happy you're here," She squealed happily as she wrapped her arms around him, the man quickly reciprocating her hug.

The two paused as they hugged, both feeling some kind of complacent as they had their arms around each other, even giving each other a slight squeeze before pulling away yet still holding each other at arm's length away.

"We should just hang out while the comet passes, I even brought a picnic blanket and a basket full of food, so we can sit and eat and just have a whole lot of fun." She spoke so quickly that he could barely understand what she was saying whilst also bouncing in her spot.

"Okay, okay, calm down," He said with a small chuckle as he tried his best to stop the girl's bouncing, but the large smile never left her face. "we can do everything you said."

"Really?" She asked with another squeal, the bouncing Stefan had tried to stop only coming back stronger, his hold barely keeping her on the ground.

Seraphina had never been this excited about just about anything she had ever done, it was just something about hanging out with Stefan that made her so beyond happy.

"Yeah," Stefan said with a slight chuckle as he used a bit more of his strength to finally get the girl to stop bouncing, but it once again couldn't take the smile off of her face. "if you can say it slower so I can understand you."

Hearing his words, Seraphina couldn't help but let out a small laugh before pulling the taller guy towards her picnic blanket and hurriedly pushing him to sit down beside her.

"Okay um, did you know that the comet has been traveling across space for thousands of years, all by itself." Stefan spoke lowly as the two looked up at the bright night sky, both reminiscing on their lonely pasts.

"It must be so lonely," Seraphina spoke with her head laying on Stefan's chest, her eyes not leaving the star-filled sky. "out there on its own for so many years, only able to see us for a second, just one glimpse."

"One glimpse of life, before it's lonely again," Stefan said solemnly as he reminisced on his life, on his immortality. "damned to repeat that cycle over and over, for the rest of eternity."

Hearing his grim words, Seraphina couldn't help but take her eyes off the beautiful night sky and move them to Stefan.

The girl laying comfortably on his chest had begun staring up at him taking in his features, converting every perfect imperfection to memory, or at least the imperfection she could see from her angle.
