i'd prefer to draw a line between my wants and needs.
the wants tend to grow into needs, growing like seeds.
sometimes, burrying themselves underneath the weeds.
i'd like to call those my needs, yet still, i dont know what i want.
cause love be the things that's holdin' you down, makin' you feel like you about to drown in yourself.
your thoughts, your fears, seepin' like tears in your skin.
but, the skin i'm in?
feel like she's held onto her roots for so long, she just wants to let go.
she just wants to abide in a feeling of love that isn't love itself.
the feeling thats made from the ground up, not starting on the top shelf.
she doesn't want love, saying its name aloud can hurt in the end.
cause the way she feels? that feeling can't break or bend.
so really, what's love?
maybe, i'll just have to pretend.
it could be a mix of my wants and needs, maybe, but i won't find out til' the end.
