Chapter 1

Y/n's POV:

What a great morning to start my day, stretching my body as leaving my bed, went straight to my kitchen and make a coffee. While making my coffee and breakfast, my phone rang and it was my mom who's calling.

"Good morning anak" bati ng mama ko sakin when I aswered her call.

"Good morning din ma, why did call?" I asked her and she answered.

"Nothing, just wanted to greet you. I miss you already dito sa bahay" she said.

"Aww. Ma naman, I just left the house 3 days ago and you already missed me?" I said.

"Ang tahimik na kaya ng bahay, simula nung lumipat at nag sarili ka na" sabi ni mama.

"Mom naman kasi. I missed you too. By the way, si dad nga pala?" tanong ko.

"Well, ayun kasama si Drew sa terrace" sabi niya.

"Oh. Ma I have to go may work pa ako sa ospital today. Bye ma. I love you both ni dad" I said before hanging up nag I love you too din si mommy.

I'm currently working on a hospital here in Manila, and my family lives in Pangasinan. I headed already sa bathroom to get shower and prepare since my duty will start at 10am so I have spare time to eat breakfast since 7:30am pa lang naman.

FASTFORWARD....

I arrived at the hospital 15 minutes before 10am, went straight to the office and do my rounds when its already 10am. As I do my rounds ay biglang nag pa tawag ng meeting ang head namin, so I went agad sa conference room to attend the said meeting.

"Hi everyone, so as you can see nag pa tawag ako ng emergency meeting" Dr. Montero said "one of my friends and a family member called me because they need volunteer doctors in order to conduct a medical mission" he continued.

"Who's this friend Doc. Montero?" one of my colleagues asked.

"Some of you might know him, but his name is Matthew Manotoc and he is one of the governor in Ilocos Norte" Dr. Montero said. "So as what I have said earlier they need 10 doctors and nurses para sa medical mission na gagawin and here are the list of doctors na ipapadala namin sa Ilocos Norte" he said then showed the list na nasa folder.

My eyes got widen when I saw my name written on the list. But I'm so grateful kasi gusto ko ulit sumali sa mga medical mission, pero Ilocos Norte yun medyo malayo buti na lang din kasama ko si Anaxia and Xamie. They're been my best friend since intern days nmin dito sa St. Luke's Medical Center. And yes Biance is Dr. Montero's only girl na anak sa family nila.

"Since nakita niyo na kung sino ang sasama sa medical mission, you will be leaving the next day. No more questions?" Dr. Montero said.

"Uhm... None at all naman doc." we all said.

"Okay, to those people who are not included sa list nang aalis you may continue to do your rounds, and to those na nasa list stay here. Thank you" Dr. Montero said and umalis na yung iba naming mga kasama para maka-pag rounds ulit.

I take a seat katabi kay Bianca and sumunod naman si Xamie and tumabi din.

"For all of you, si Dr. Bianca my wife will be the head or the team leader of this medical mission kaya aasahan ko na magiging succesful itong event na ito" Dr. Montero said "So I'll give the floor to Dr. Bianca para maka ma-discuss na niya lahat" he added and left the room.
