Though ash and rot

The world falls and the gods flee in awe
The mighty left bitter
Not but facades of power remain
As the world rots to ash
The fire slowly dying
A chosen hero is found
From chance of luck or sacrifice
From the lungs of a dying fool
A prophesy is uttered
Through trial and trickery a hero found from the undesired
Along the way there is a fool
Looking for a purpose
He talks of help and jolly comrades
Unaware of his growing madness
The ringing of two mighty bells
One In heaven guarded by twins
The other in hell
Gut a fool clouded by madness
Ring the bell and slay the demon who is the guard
The guard a desperate sibling
The City of Gods the gates do rise
To find the princess of sunlight
Alas an illusion of great past
And move on with your great boon.
Benounced to you, you slay three lords,
Death
Knowledge
And Demon
You open the gates to the sun
It's light long since faded.
Upon the alter a sacrifice
Of one ridden of power.
To rekindle the flame
Of fake prosperity
The land slowly turns to ruin.
