chapter 16

Y/ns pov

It's now a day later and nick messaged me saying he had to go in to school a but earlier so he couldn't come and get me. I'm on the bus right now listening to music. I get off at my stop and go find Charlie, Tao and Isaac.

"Heyyyy guys"

"Hey y/n/n" Charlie replies

"Hey" tao says

I look at isaac and see him reading. I sit down next to him and we all start talking. After a while it's time to go to form so I start walking to form. I see nick and I smile to myself and I go over to myself.

"Hi"

"Hi" he smiles

"How are you" he asks 

"I'm good you" I answer

"I'm better now I've seen you"

"Omg thats so cringe" I laugh

He laughs and i put my pencil case on my table. I get my pen out and get some paper and start doodling while sir talks to us. I feel someone slightly tap my pinky finger so I look over at nick.

"Come watch us play later" he whispers

"Is it just practice or a full game" I whisper back

"It's just us but tomorrow after school we have a full game as you say against St John's and I want you there only if you want to come"

"I'll come to both" I smile

"Good. But just know you don't have to if you don't want to"

"I want to"

"Y/n, Nick keep it down please I'm trying to tell you what's happening this week. As I was saying, this week is normal but you'll have Friday off as we won last week"

Everyone cheers and starts to talk.

"Okay everyone it's time for your first lesson so see you later"

I get up and grab my things. I walk out the room with nick and stop.

"What way are you going" I ask

"I'm going to french. You?" He replies asking a question

"I'm going to English" I reply

"Thats good. They're both the same way" He smiles

We walk to lesson and we get to English

"I'll see you later" I say

"I'll see you at break" He replies

I hug him and walk into the English lesson. After fifty minutes the lesson ends and I walk to math. After another fifty minutes it's meant and I go outside to the bench. I sir down and see everyone coming over.

"Hey guys"

"Hey" Charlie replies

After five minutes nick comes over and sits next to me.

"Sorry I had to talk to the French teacher"

"Not a problem" I say

We talk for a little bit until it's time to go.

"I'm gonna walk to lesson" I start

I get up and I'm about to go.

"Wait I'll come" nick interferes

I smile and nod. He walks me to my lesson and then watches me walk in. I sit down and wave at him and he waves and walks away. After fifteen minutes a teacher walks in.

"Could I have y/n please with all her stuff" she says

I get confused but do as I'm told. I follow the teacher and she brings me into mine and nicks room. I see nick sitting on the bean bags crying into his knees. I run over to him and pull him into a hug.

"It's okay. It's okay" I say while stroking his hair

The teacher leaves and we are alone.

"What's up" I ask

"T-the c-ceiling" he jokes I chuckle qnd continue stroking his hair

"Do you want to tell me what's wrong"

"I m-messaged my d-dad to see if he wanted t-to see me but he d-didn't message back and today he s-said busy. He actually just m-messaged the word b-busy. Nothing e-else." He explains

"Awww babi. I'm here for you"

"S-sorry about this It's stupid" he says

"No it's not. I'm here and you can't stop me" i smile

"Thank you"  he replies

He takes his phone out and gives it to me. I turn it on and put in the password and it goes straight to his messages with his dad but it's in French

Salut papa puis-je venir te voir ou peux-tu venir me voir à un moment donné
(hi dad can i come see you or can you come see me sometime)

"Does it hurt" I ask

He looks at me and nods. I sadly smile

"Do you want me to stay with you" I ask

He nods his head and closes his eyes

"Okay"

We stay like this until break.

"Come on let's get fresh air" I say

"Can we stay in the shade. I don't want anyone to notice" he asks

"Yeah. Of course"

I get up and hold my hand out for nick. He takes it and we walk out the room. We go outside and sit in the corner in the shade. We talk until it's time to go back in.

"Do you want to go back to lesson" I ask

"No can you stay with me in the room"

I nod and we walk to the room. I sit down on the chair and nick sits on the opposite side of the table

"Thank you for everything" he says while taking my hand

"Well I'm here for you no matter what" i smile

e stands up and drags me with him. He goes to the radio and turns it on.

"Lets dance" he says

I laugh and he puts his hands on my waist while I put mine around his neck. We dance and talk for a while. I stop talking and look into his eyes. I look down at his lips and lean in and so does he. Our lips meet and I smile in to it. After a minute or so we part. I smile and lean my head on his shoulder.

"I like being with you"
