5- A tiring afternoon

Aether's POV:

I still thought about the time me and Xiao were sleeping on each other's shoulder under his favourite tree, it was so embarrassing! I could feel my face slightly getting hotter as I started thinking about that again. A second later, Lumine came bursting out with laughter as she jumped on my back.

'Lumine you're too heavy!' I screamed as she started giggling in the background,
'You're funny Aether! Never thought you'd sleep during break!' She said excitedly, she stopped and grinned at me a second later.
'So, who was the guy you were with?? Hm?' She asked curiously as she jumped off my back.
'Uhhh,' I started to stutter,
'I-I, H-how did you know T-that!?'
'Ganyu told me! How else would I know?' She rolled her eyes and focused on my reply,
'Hm, I see you're making new friends!' She looked at my eyes, glaring in anger.
'You're ignoring the question Aether. Come on, just please say it! I'm so curious!' She pleaded sadly.

I sighed and told her that it was Xiao, she should already know! She stopped her grin and told me to hurry up, so we can get home. We walked down the pathway, leading to the large village of houses. I pulled out my phone and started playing a game, Lumine was slightly interested so she looked over my shoulder to see what I was doing. She saw me play 'Tetris' and bossed me around to where I can place the blocks. I was shouting at her, telling her that I couldn't do that, since I only had a few spots available! We finally arrived home and I opened the mailbox to see if there is any mail from our parents. I only saw one letter in there, I grabbed it, and checked who it was from. I read, 'Xiangling,' Oh , this is just a letter from one of my co workers. I teared the top and held the perfectly folded paper in my hands. I quickly unfolded the paper,

'Dear Aether,

I'm sorry that I can't work tomorrow, since my Dad and I are going to another country. He told me to leave a letter for my friends, so I sent one to you! I also sent one to Hu Tao, Paimon... and probably that's it! Anyways, back to the problem, I won't be here for atleast 5 weeks. So, I won't be able to work with you guys, I also told the manager that you could take my role as a cook and a waitress! Okay, that's all I have to say. Have a good day Aether!

I was a bit upset reading the letter, but assigning me as a Cook!? I can't do that, I start to get worried, put my stuff away and left the note in my drawer. I sighed silently and changed my clothes, it was just a White T-shirt with a pair of black shorts. I headed to Lumine's room and asked her if she wanted to eat something. I headed towards her desk, she was live-streaming and she was asking question's to the comment section about if she'd play a horror game. I was in the middle of her screen, my hair was down, that was good, anyways I started searching through the drawers to find a pencil and a spare book to write on. Then, Lumine said something to her stream about me, I looked at the screen and slowly put a smile on my face. I could see the comment section slowly filling up, and Lumine started to get angrier as she read the comments. She started banging her keyboard, roughly,

'Lumine! You paid 100,000 mora for that! Don't destroy it!' I warned her politely,
'These people are simping for you, and why'd you enter the room in the first place?' She was angry, that made me worry the most.
'I just wanted to check if you wanted something to eat,' I asked worriedly, as I placed my hands on her shoulders, slouching down to her height.
'Oh, then, can you make Tri-colour Dango? Please~!' She begged, I sighed
'Alright..' I walked tiredly out her room, she was screaming at them and I was afraid when I shut the door.

My sister is indeed scary.

I head downstairs and go to the kitchen, now, how do I start off to make good dango's? I started following a recipe on my phone , it took a while for me to understand. But now i'm alright, I lifted the bowl and started making them.

After waiting 1 (or 30) minutes to freeze ( or even 1 day)

I silently opened the fridge, seeing that the 3 dangos I made were finally frozen. Lumine came down in a hurry,

'Aether! My friends want me to have dinner with them! Would you like to come?' She already had her clothes on, now she's preparing what shoes to wear.
'Sure! Hold up, need to change!' I ran down the hallway, exiting the kitchen and hastily run up the stairs.

I quickly chose clothes I was comfortable with, and got my hair done in a ponytail. I went downstairs, seeing that Lumine was just using her phone while she waited. She gestured to me, 'let's get moving' and we both got in the car. I locked the door before I got in.  Lumine was driving, since she was texted the location while I was wondering where we were going. I wanted to ask, but Lumine was in a irritated mood after her stream. Sometimes, I can hear her muttering about how she wants people dead when they call me pretty or something, it's scary. She parked the car, and I got out. Smelling the food from here, there was a balcony where you could sit and have your food taken there. The restaurant gleamed in the night, the stuff here looked so modern, I started getting worried if my clothes weren't fit for this restaurant. Lumine shook me as hard as she could,

'Aether, you zoned out, is there any problems?'
'Ah- No, I'm fine.' I seemed worried still, but I had to get over the fact Lumine was wearing something similar to her friends.
'Also,' she added,
'Ganyu, Hu Tao, Keqing, Xiao, Albedo and Childe are going to be here.' She stated that pretty clear, I nodded, wow, she has lots of friends.
'It wasn't me who suggested this, it was Ganyu.'

We entered the restaurant, and we saw Ganyu waving from the far, left hand table. The others had already arrived, only Childe was running late on schedule. He wanted to invite Scaramouche, but Ganyu didn't allow him too, since he was a total gangster. There was a long seat, connected to the wall, I sat on that side, while Lumine sat in the other. Beside Ganyu, she was on the other side. While Xiao, he was in front of me. I didn't want to start a conversation, since it'll be awkward if I asked. We stared at each other for a while, and started a small conversation.

'What are you doing here?' He said heartlessly,
'Oh, my Sister Lumine suggested if I came.' I said joyfully, but then stopped.

It started getting a bit awkward after that, but then the waiter asked us what we wanted to order. We all stated our orders as the waitress left and we were left talking loudly.
