"Jeez, after a month of nothing another case comes in" Sam sat at his desk sighing as he opened the case file on the Braun family "yep, this is just like the others" staring at the pictures of the gruesome scene Sam had to put them done unless he wanted to throw up his lunch "Ok tell me, Simon... was it there?"
Simon looked down and nodded "yes there was also a shard of glass found at the crime scene" hearing this Sam looked down and slammed his fist onto the table "That bastard he's mocking us" Sam stood up his hair falling in front of his face before he tied it into a ponytail "I'm going out, watch over the office when I'm gone" walking out of the room sam passed by the sword that he kept hanging on the wall, it was passed down to him from his father the blade was a beautiful crimson red Sam called it Jetstream

"What the hell do you want?" Jack was stopped in his tracks as water dripped from a nearby tree "Do you have any money?" a man asked him while his hand shuffled around his hoodie pocket "Sorry but I don't" Suddenly the man pulled out a knife and pressed it to jacks stomach "sorry ain't gonnna cut it, empty your pockets now" Jack just sighed as his hand grew long claw like nails and stabbed the man in the side. Jack grabbed his shoulder and whispered in his ear "I told you I didn't have any money" he forced his hand deeper into the wound before gripping whatever he could and ripping his hand out and crushing it "now go and die it's all you're good for anyway"  Jack wiped his hand on the mans jacket before walking away from his newest victim "yo maria, how much longer until I can permintly become what you are?" The demoness spoke to him softly "you'd still need to sacrifice five more people to me" Five more... only five more lives and the power that Jack has been searching for his entire life would be his permanently "Alright then did that guy count?" Maria chuckled "while i did enjoy what you did no, you have to eat them in order for it to count" yes eating them in order to gain more power
