.* LOVERBOY
slight smut warning

How quickly things could go down hill in a matter of seconds always amazed you. Your Paris getaway trip with your boyfriend was all for naught after hearing that Floch overdosed, the peace of mind Jean was looking for didn't come just yet.

You were back at his mother's apartment, packing up all your stuff to leave tonight. She was watching the two of you run across the sides of the room to gather up all your things, "Jeanboy, Y/N, what's wrong?"

You paused your packing to address her, "I'm sorry maman but we have to go. It's important." She insisted that you call her that after spending only a week with you.

She sighed and watched as Jean packed the last of his things in his suitcase and zipped it up. He brushed past the two of you, "We'll visit again." then brought his suitcase to the front door. She came up to you with a slight pout and brushed your face with her hand, "Don't be a stranger, okay?"

You managed to force a smile, "Yes, I won't." She hugged you and gave you a kiss on each cheek. Jean came back into the bedroom and had his hands on his hip, "Are you ready?"

You gave him a nod and he zipped up your suitcase and brought it to the front door. His mom followed the two of you until the top of the stairs where she kissed him on each cheek and squeezed him tight. He apologized for leaving in such a rush without telling her anything. He then carried both suitcases with no trouble, the veins in his hands and muscles in his arms making an appearance from the amount of strength he was using. When you got to the courtyard, you looked up to see his mom waiting by the window. She waved to you and you waved back before getting into the backseat of the yellow taxi.

Jean's leg shook up and down while he gazed out of the window, making you as nervous as he was. You put a hand on his knee and he looked over at you. You peered into his eyes to reassure him of his friends' physical state, "He's going to be fine, Jean."

"Is he?"

You shrugged your shoulders, "I don't know for sure but I know that you're going to blame yourself so don't. He's making these choices." You could tell your words brought some comfort to his mind as he lifted his shoulder while inhaling deeply then exhaling, "Did I tell you how much I love you?"

You looked up then shook your head, "Nah, I don't think so." He scoffed then gave you multiple kisses on your lip before resting his head on your shoulder. He had his hand on your inner thigh and you placed yours atop of his. You boarded your plane at around eleven in the evening and to pass time until arriving to Paradis, you fell asleep on Jean's lap.

"Wake up, gorgeous. We're here."

You groaned and lifted your arms up to stretch. He got up and held his hand out for you. You grabbed it and got out of the seat and walked to the entrance while Jean followed suit with the luggage. He refused to let you take your own. Going from the airport to the hospital where Floch was would take roughly thirty minutes.

You got down to the parking garage and Jean kissed the hood of Roxanne, "I missed you." You looked at him like he was crazy, "What? Is it wrong for a man to miss his car?"

You raised your eyebrows and put your hands up, "I didn't say a thing," then got into the car. He put the luggage into the trunk and put the car in ignition before speeding off. He had the roof down since it was hot plus his body temperature started rising from being nervous about Floch's status.

You plugged the aux cord into your phone and played one of his favorite songs, More Than A Woman.

He glanced over at you as a smile formed on his face, "Ha, you know me so well." You finally learned the lyrics and were able to recite them alongside Jean. It took his mind off of Floch briefly until you arrived at the hospital. He took the keys out of the car and sighed, "Let's go."
