my tutor. [yang jungwon]

i waited at the library—in his favourite spot—for jungwon.

soon enough, i saw him open the library door. he looked really nervous.

i went straight towards him so that he wouldn't have to look for me.

"hi jungwon!"

"oh, hey yena." he smiled at me, clearly surprised to see me there before himself.

"shall we go?" i smiled at him and he returned it.

"yeah."

jungwon took a long deep breath and we walked out together.

"how was your day?" i tried to help relax him.

"it was okay thanks, i had a biology test which i think went quite well." we left the school gates. "you?"

"i have my biology test tomorrow, im really nervous about it."

"oh, you really don't need to worry, you're really good at biology. just remember the key words and definitions and you'll do well. im sure of it."

jungwon's words were so comforting.

"thank you, i really appreciate it."

we made a bit more small talk before arriving at the dessert place.

jungwon pointed toward a table for two near the window.

"shall we sit there?"

"yeah." the thought of sitting opposite jungwon by ourselves gave me butterflies.

we sat down and each picked up a menu.

"do you know what, there is so much choice i don't know what to have." i said looking through the cardboard leaflet.

"i know what you mean."

we sat in silence for a moment, listening to the background music playing.

"im going to have the oreo milkshake, sounds really yummy." i said finally.

"i'll have the same." jungwon smiled at me and closed his menu.

he ordered for the both of us and soon the milkshakes came.

"wow." he looked in awe at the drink placed in front of him.

we drank a few sips before he then said, "yena?"

"mmm?" i looked up at his sparkly eyes.

"thank you for inviting me out today. no one ever really invites me anywhere."

my heart felt like it was about to burst.

"if im honest jungwon, i was really nervous because i wasn't sure if you'd want to come. i really like spending time with you."
