As soon as class ended, Wooyoung popped his head into our classroom. San immediately walked over to him. I rushed behind the two feeling like the third wheel. San threw his arm around Wooyoung's neck and almost walked off when he turned back around and held his hand out for me. I glanced at it then back up at him. He shook his hand as a sign to hurry. Wooyoung snorted before looking away, pretending to be interested in something else.

I shyly proceeded along by taking his hand. With a satisfied grin, he started on his way to the cafeteria. All of a sudden he paused, making me peek at him. I followed his gaze that stopped at Mia.

I haven't seen her in about a week. But apparently she's been attending class, according to San. It was very obvious that she's been doing everything to avoid me. Did San perhaps talk to her?

Feeling a bit sorry for her I dropped my hand from San's. It wouldn't be fair to do all that when I know she likes him, right?

"Why?" San glanced at me

"Let's just go to the cafeteria." I sighed

"Hey" She looked at me, "I know we didn't really-"

"Yeah, it's fine." I interrupted

I forced the corners of my lips up and continued on my way.

For the rest of lunch, it was all fun and games until it was time to head back to class. When I was about to leave, Mia suddenly grabbed onto my arm. I knew it was finally time to clear things up.

"Hey listen," she started, "the other day, what I said about San, forget I ever said that."

She finally met my gaze. I nodded making her let go of my arm.

"No hard feelings, don't worry."

"I still wish you would've said something. I feel so embarrassed." She sighed

"I wouldn't really have known then anyway." I rubbed the back of my neck, "but I'm over it, I don't think you should think too much about it either. I won't mention any of it to San anyway."

"Thank you, rough start but I hope we can get closer one day."

It seemed like a genuine smile spread across her face, like a heavy weight was lifted off her shoulders. A hand appeared around my shoulders making me glance to my side.

"I was waiting for you." San grinned sweetly

"I was on my way, we were just talking."

"I'll see you later then." Mia nodded before leaving

"How'd I do?" He asked

I smacked his arm and rolled my eye, "was that all an act?"

"I just wanted to make sure she knew I only have eyes for you." He winked

I chuckled and walked on ahead, leaving him behind, "you can stop with the act now, it's all clear."

"Great, now let's talk about our next date."

I chuckled softly at his clinginess. He really wants to go on one, doesn't he. I knew I had to answer soon or else he wouldn't stop asking.

"Come over to my house this weekend." I invited

"I can't make it this weekend I'm sorry. I've got a lot of work left unfinished that I have to get done as soon as possible. I'll come over as soon as I'm free, I promise."

With a sigh I answered, "it's fine I guess, I'm a little bummed out but it can't be helped. Let's delay it to whenever you're done."

"Don't be so down, you'll make me feel bad." he whined

"You should be." I groaned playfully

"Monday's off for a three-day weekend so we have plenty of time for our date."

"I know San, I'm just messing with you." I chuckled softly, "take care of whatever you have fast so I can see you." I spoke with a quiet tone

"I will," he said softly, "make sure to stay warm if you're going out, the temperature is dropping again like crazy."

"You too, okay?"

"Of course. I'll be going now, bye bye."

"Bye."

With a beep, the call was ended. I frowned at the phone I was holding, already missing his voice. The oven timer suddenly went off taking me back to reality. I rushed to take the cake out and set it on the counter.

"I even made this." I whined to myself

I pulled up a chair and sat on the dining table with a slice of cake. Before devouring it, I remembered to snap a picture of it for San, just to make him jealous. Maybe then he'll work harder on finishing everything up.

San
-you better save some for me

-can't promise that :)

San
-slightly upset right now

I lightly chuckled and looked back at the slice. It does look delicious doesn't it. I stuffed a piece in my mouth and enjoyed the softness of it. Indeed there's nothing like cake fresh out of the oven.

-I'll make another for you so let me know beforehand

I waited for another reply, or even a read, but my message was left on delivered. With a sigh, I put my phone aside. He must be busy now then.

I grabbed the tv remote and turned it on, the news broadcasting station popped up.

"Right weather reports." I whispered to myself

"Temperatures are dangerously dropping with a 74% chance of a heavy snowstorm for this upcoming weekend. Daily weather forecasts will be coming in to inform you whether or not it's safe to be outdoors during these days. As of now, we recommend you keep warm and stay inside the comfort of your homes."

Groaning, I grab my phone to send yet another text. I hesitate, whether or not to cancel. Maybe he's too busy to show up anyway. I don't want to seem like I'm pushing him away after he's been asking me out all week.

I set the phone down once more. He'll cancel it himself once he sees the condition outdoors.

San's eyes drifted off to the file that was lying on the table. He sat on the sofa with a sigh before pulling it close to him and taking out the papers inside to reread them.

There was nothing wrong with my resume, he thought, but I have yet to be recruited. Will I really end up jobless if I stay here? he wondered

His eyes darted to his surroundings.

"I can't give all of this up though, I'll keep looking, there's still quite some time left before my graduation." He let out a deep exhale

Moving away was not an option he wanted to give himself.
