I don't kneel for anyone

I changed up the monster a bit the legend around it said it eats misbehaving children but i made it where it eats werewolves.

"Incendia!" Josie said throwing a ball of fire at the beast but it didn't seem to be working.

"INCENDIA!" Josie said throwing another.

"Incend-" Josie's was cut off when Hope grabbed her wrist.

"If I hear you say incendia one more time I will quite literally incendia you," Hope said letting her go.

"Well do you have a better solution you are just standing there you're a witch to help me," Josie said rolling her eyes.

"Well I have some old books on monsters in my family's compound we could go research and see what it was is" Hope shrugged.

Josie slowly turned towards the shorter girl "let me get this straight... you have books on monsters like this and have been letting me try and kill this thing for an hour??? knowing we probably won't have any luck unless we know it's weakness."

"Well to be fair you looked really cute struggling" Hope defended.

Hope's eyes widened when she realized what she said: "uh I just like giving you a hard time is all."

Josie looked down to hide the blush before she turned around and started walking "let's get those books."

"Sounds good... yeah..." Hope says putting her hands in her pocket and following after Josie.

When they entered the Mikaelson compound Josie looked around in amazement "Woah."

"Why are you so shocked?" Hope laughed walking into the library.

"The Mikaelson compound was always that one forbidden house that all the neighborhood kids were afraid of growing up."

"Ah I guess that's why I didn't make many friends growing up," Hope said as she searched through the bookshelf.

"I tried once..." Josie said softly.

Hope turned to her with a raised eyebrow "no you didn't I would've remembered" she shook her head.

"I did when I was five and you just ignored me and then my mom saw me trying to talk to you... and took me back home... let's just say it wasn't pretty" Josie said looking down.

"I didn't know that..." Hope says looking at her with a frown before turning back towards the books and pulling one out "let's try this one."

Josie grabbed the book before talking a seat on a nearby couch.

Hope sat on the armrest hovering over Josie.

"Mystical beings and folk lore" Josie says reading the title.

When she opens the book she reads the table of contents before turning to the beast chapter.

"i'm not seeing anything" Josie said as she slowly flips through pages.

Hope shakes her head "no nothing is looking familiar."

Josie continued flipping through the pages until Hope suddenly stopped her.

"Wait wait! right there" Hope says turning the page back "that looks exactly like it."

Josie looks closer to the page "it says it's called a rougarou, in the Cajun legends, the creature is said to prowl the swamps and Greater New Orleans."

"That would explain why it was in the bayou" Hope said.

"It says it's weakness is salt!" Josie says closing the book and standing up.

"So are you telling me this whole time i could've just thrown table salt at the thing and will die??" Hope said.

"Pretty much now let's go" Josie said walking out of the compound.

When they got back to the graveyard they saw the monster still trying to break his way through the barrier spell but it was failing miserably.

Hope and Josie stopped infront of the monster before Hope pulled out the salt and waved it infront of the monster.

It must have recodnized what was in her hand because it growled and backed away immediately.

"Not so fast buddy" Hope said before her and Josie held hands and casted a spell that made the salt fly into the monsters mouth causing him to howl in pain before he slowly started melting.

"Gross gross gross" Josie said looking away.

"Hm i thought killing it was going to be a lot more exciting and action packed that was very disappointing" Hope tilted her head as she looked at the remains of the monster on the ground.

"It literally killed half of your pack be thankful it's dead."

"Oh trust me i am."

"Well?"

Hope turned towards her "well what?"

Josie gave her a look.

Hope sighed "thank you for helping me" she mumbled while rolling her eyes.

"Doesn't sound like you mean it."

Hope let a small smile slip before she got on her knees infront of Josie and held the brunette's hands "thankyou Josette Parker for helping me defeat that thing."

"Now do you believe me" Hope grinned.

"Hm okay i believe you" Josie smiled as Hope stood back up.

"You better because i don't kneel for anyone."
