Academy World Karting is a go-karting series for young drivers from around the world, and is in turn attached to a driving academy boarding school. It serves as a learning experience for them and allows them to learn how it might work given the idea they get into a Formula series. It operates like Formula One, and the academy is supported directly by the FIA and Formula One teams. Each team is representing an F1 team, so there are teams like McLaren, Red Bull, Alpha Tauri, and more. The academy accepts students for as long as they are willing to be a part of it. Twenty students at a time are chosen from hundreds of applicants, and the ones chosen are typically the greatest karters of their age range in their country. The students must represent teamwork, leadership, cooperation, and most importantly: the intent to learn and improve through criticism and critical thinking skills.
