I was returning from the cafeteria, and I just happen to spot you; I couldn't help myself not to.

Except for the strange fact that Jane was standing next to you, and she was sobbing. Her shoulders bobbed up and down as she buried her face into her fragile hands. You stood there with your gaze fixed on the ground.

I was curious as to what must have happened.

"Hey, isn't that jane?"

"Shhh. Just pass by, and pretend not to see them, I think Jane messed up."

"How could he possibly reject her?!? She's a model student of our school??..."

The students walked by whispering things about you and Jane; about you rejecting Jane.

All of a sudden, an unpleasant emotion flooded inside of me and I could feel Jane's shoes.

I stepped back;

I tried to,

I had to,

I must.

If not Jane, then it couldn't possibly be me either. You sure were out of my reach.
