My mum left at around 10am for work. I don't even think she'd be there based off of the call she got just 5 minutes before she left. Whatever.
BEGINNING OF FESTIVAL
Everyone was sitting on chairs with a their desired amount of food on their plate. Chatter and laughter filled the village before Abuela Alma stood up, tapping on her glass. Afterwards, silence came, Alma said a long speech on family, the Encanto and the miracle or at least that's what Mirabel translated to me.
By that, I mean short sentences of summary of what Abuela Alma said then went onto flirting to Ines. After the speech, we went to eating, Alma told us to only grab a little because a lot of food stands and a stage will be available soon. I looked over to the right side of me to see Camilo and his mountain of food.
He noticed I was staring so he faced me, "what? Do I have something on my face?". I raise my eyebrow, looked at his food then at him. "Ohhhh, yeah, don't worry, i'll be able to finish it.", Camilo reassured. I swiftly replied, "yeah? What about the festival?"
"That'll be my dessert then!" I chuckled at his response and started eating my food.
I swear I could feel eyes on me.
