Seraphina POV

Mom: You've done well, Keep working

Sera: Of course mother

Mom: Anything else to report?

Sera: There's a new kid coming to school today or theres supposed to be

Mom: Then make sure they respect your position

Sera: Understood

Mom: Alright I'm gotta go back to work

Sera: Ok, love you mom

Mom: It's mother, Speak with respect to me always

Sera: Of course sorry

I waited for a response but checked and saw she hung up, God I was tired of it, Remi was right she isn't my mother she's my boss, But there's nothing I can do except be perfect and that's what I'll be

I got a shower did my makeup and got dressed as I prepared for another Monday

I was waiting for Elaine who was taking longer than usaul

Sera: You ready yet Elaine?

Elaine: Almost! Gotta be ready for the new student

Sera: Why he's probably another mid tier

Elaine got out of the bathroom fully dressed

Elaine: And what if he's a high tier? Or a hot mid tier?

Sera: You'll still just be drooling over Arlo

Elaine blushed as we walked to school which wasn't far, But she then got a wicked smile

Elaine: Well who do you like Seraphina?

Sera: No one

Elaine: Ha yeah sure, Your just hiding it

I rolled my eyes, I didn't have time for crushes not when I had tests to do and a school to run

Elaine: Is it Arlo? The king and the queen?

Sera: Please, He isn't interested in anything other than running the school

Elaine: So like you?

Arlo: Well she is queen

Elaine: Ahhh!

Arlo walked out from nowhere to scare Elaine and say hi to us

Sera: Arlo

Arlo: Seraphina

Elaine: I uhhh gotta go bye!

Elaine, embarrassed, ran away

Sera: Stop scaring our healer

Arlo: It's fun

Arlo had a habit of being over confident and annoying with his personality but he always was focused on one thing

Arlo: The new student will be in your first class

Sera: Yep

Arlo: Let me know how he acts and what he does, I want to know exactly who I'm dealing with

Sera: Of course

Ever since I got here Arlo was a voice of reason, He ran school like a business, He used people like chess pieces and was always in control, Sure I could have beaten him up and took control for myself but with us working together no one could do anything, This school was set up perfectly for the hierarchy and was unbeatable, The perfect school as it should be, Arlo kept order, I was a role model, Remi our jack was someone fun who helped people relax a bit and except the hierarchy, Blyke was next in line to be king and was well trained and Isen told us everything there was to know, Nothing could stop us

John POV

I put on the uniform, It looked nice but felt annoying like I was being controlled

Joker: Maybe we should pay the headmaster a visit

I brushed off what I now accepted as my other side, A voice in my head, No matter what I planned to make a impression that wouldn't be forgotten

Joker: We'll give them a fright and show off our power!

John: That's the plan

I said that out loud which made me feel silly but I was alone here anyways, Maybe I could make some friends

Joker: So they can betray you?

Yeah that's probably a bad idea, Don't want another...

Joker: Claire?

Yeah..

I brushed up and looked in the mirror

I left my little apartment and began jogging to school which was a ways away so I moved fast to get there, It was nice to run this far felt good, runners high I think they call it, Well it definitely felt good

Finally I got to the entrance of the school and walked in, I already had my schedule and I was ready to walk right in

And take my rightful place

Sera POV

Teach: Good morning class, Today we have a new student! Go ahead and introduce yourself

He was tall and had dark black hair that was spiked up and his golden eyes had a menacing aura to them as if they had seen some dark things

John: I am John, Nice to meet you

He said that coldly, Very coldly, was he trying to intimidate the whole class? Ha as if that would work he is gonna have a ride awakening

Class went by as boring as ever and at the end everyone was packing up and Elaine walked over to John

Elaine: Hi I'm Elaine! How was your first day

John didn't look up as he spoke

John: Fine

Elaine: That's good

Awkward silence

Elaine: So John, where are you from?

John: New Boston

Elaine: Wow that's far from here

Awkward silence

Elaine: So John...What kind of power do you have?

Everyone turned to look at John in that moment, myself included, and we saw him look up with a sinister grin on his face as he stood

John: The god killing kind

Wether it was the words he said or how he said them, Everyone got chills as there was no doubt he meant what he said, he was no mid tier, he was another player to take control of Wellston
