Kazuha stepped out of the bustling airport in Liyue with his luggage in tow. It had been a long journey from his home nation of Inazuma, but he was excited to explore the new land. He had always been a calm, collected and polite man, but this new adventure filled him with a sense of excitement and anticipation.
As he made his way through the streets of Liyue, he couldn't help but think about the old friend he was going to meet. They had known each other since childhood, and he had always harbored a crush on her. Her name was (Y/N), and she was a woman who lived in Liyue.
He was lost in his thoughts when he suddenly heard a familiar voice calling out his name. He turned around to see (Y/N) running towards him with a wide smile on her face. She looked as beautiful as he remembered, with her hair blowing in the wind and her bright eyes shining with happiness.
They hugged each other tightly, and Kazuha felt a warm sensation in his heart. It had been so long since they had seen each other, but it felt like no time had passed at all.
They spent the day exploring the city together, visiting temples, museums and other landmarks. Kazuha couldn't help but notice how much (Y/N) had grown since he last saw her. She was smart, funny and kind, and he was grateful to be spending time with her again.
As they walked through the streets, Kazuha tried giving little hints to her that he liked her. He would give her compliments on her outfit, hold her hand when they crossed the street, and even tried to make her laugh with his jokes.
(Y/N) didn't seem to notice any of these gestures, and Kazuha couldn't help but feel a little disheartened. He had always been shy when it came to matters of the heart, and he didn't want to risk losing their friendship if he confessed his feelings.
As the day came to a close, Kazuha and (Y/N) found themselves sitting on a bench overlooking the sea. The sun was setting, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the air.
Kazuha took a deep breath and turned to (Y/N), his heart pounding in his chest. "There's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
(Y/N) turned to him, her eyes curious. "What is it?" she asked.
Kazuha took her hand in his, and looked into her eyes. "I know we've been friends for a long time, but I can't keep these feelings inside me any longer. (Y/N), I'm in love with you." He place his hand where his heart should be. He was afraid that if he continued to keep his feelings hidden, someone might take (Y/N) away from him.
(Y/N)'s eyes widened in surprise, and she felt her heart skip a beat. She had never expected Kazuha to feel this way about her, and yet the idea filled her with joy.
"I...I don't know what to say," she stammered. "I never realized that you felt this way about me."
Kazuha felt his heart drop at her response, and he felt a lump form in his throat. He had feared that his confession would ruin their friendship, and now it seemed like his worst fears were coming true.
"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I didn't mean to make things awkward between us. I just had to tell you how I feel."
(Y/N) shook her head, and placed her hand on top of his. "No, please don't apologize. I'm just...surprised. And happy. Because I feel the same way."
Kazuha couldn't believe what he was hearing. Kazuha felt like he was dreaming. "Wait, what did you say?" he asked, almost afraid to believe what he was hearing.
(Y/N) took a deep breath, her eyes shining with emotion. "I said, I feel the same way about you. I've had feelings for you for a long time, Kazuha. I was just never confident enough to say anything."
Kazuha's heart swelled with joy, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him. "You have no idea how happy I am to hear that," he said, his voice trembling with emotion.
They looked at each other for a long moment, lost in their own thoughts and feelings. The sun had set completely, and the sky was now dark with stars.
"I never thought you would like me back," Kazuha admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I always thought I was just a friend to you."
(Y/N) smiled softly at him. "You were always more than a friend to me, Kazuha. I just didn't know how to express it."
They sat in silence for a while, holding hands and watching the stars. Kazuha couldn't believe how lucky he was to have (Y/N) in his life. He had always admired her for her intelligence, her sense of humor, and her kind heart. And now, he was finally able to tell her how he felt.
(Y/N) spoke up after a while, breaking the silence. "Kazuha, can I ask you something?"
"Of course," he said, turning to face her.
"Why did you wait so long to tell me how you felt?" she asked, her eyes searching his.
Kazuha looked down at his hands, feeling a little embarrassed. "I don't know," he said. "I guess I was just afraid of losing our friendship. I didn't want to risk making things awkward between us."
(Y/N) squeezed his hand reassuringly. "You could never lose my friendship, Kazuha. I care about you too much for that."
Kazuha felt his heart swell with gratitude, and he looked up at her with a smile. "Thank you, (Y/N). That means a lot to me."
They sat there for a while longer, talking and laughing and enjoying each other's company. Kazuha felt like he was on cloud nine, and he couldn't believe how happy he felt.
As the night wore on, they decided to head back to their hotel which they share a room together but with two beds. Kazuha walked (Y/N) to her room, feeling a little nervous about what would happen next. (Y/N) sat on her bed, "Does this mean that we're officially a couple?" She asked him with a small smile on her face as Kazuha nodded happily.
"We are." He answered.
Kazuha's eyes took a quick glance on her lips as he awkwardly cleared his throat, "Ehem... Um... This might be a little bold of me but... May I kiss you?" He said with a hint of red on his cheeks.
Her eyes widened a little from his request as Kazuha quickly explained, "I'm n-not forcing you... It's just that... I've always wondered how it'll feel like if... My lips touches yours." Although he did say that he didn't want to force, he did wanted her to accept his request.
(Y/N) had her face flushed intensely but nodded, "O-Of course! I-I'm sorry... I feel a little shy but please g-go ahead!"
Kazuha took the opportunity leaned in, feeling his heart pounding in his chest. He closed his eyes and pressed his lips against hers, feeling a surge of electricity run through his body.
The kiss was gentle and tender, filled with all the love and affection they had been holding back for so long. Kazuha felt like he was finally home, like he had found the missing piece of his heart.
When they pulled away, they looked at each other with a mixture of love and wonder.
"I can't believe this is happening," Kazuha said, his voice trembling with emotion.
(Y/N) smiled at him. "M-me neither. But I'm so glad it is."
The two ended up sleeping together in one bed as they hugged each other tightly, feeling the warmth of each other's bodies. Kazuha knew that he had found the love of his life, and he was determined to cherish and protect it with everything he had before saying goodnight to each other.
