Homegoing Service"Now We are gathered here today to seek and receive comfort. We would be less than honest if we said our hearts are not aching over this untimely situation. We are not too proud to acknowledge that we have come here today trusting that God will minister to our hearts, and give us the strength as we continue our walk with him. Because it is our human nature to want to understand everything now, but TRUST and FAITH requires that we lean and rely heavily on God even when things seem unclear...See we have to trust that God has a grand plan for each and every one of us in our journeys through life, and when he's ready for one of his children to come home, he'll simply call us on up. But see it might not feel like it's the right time to you, you might feel like you're not ready to leave this earth, or you're not ready for your brother, your sister, mother, cousin, auntie, spouse, uncles, and Freinds to leave you just yet!, so you keep telling yourself it wasn't their time, they still have a life to live, why so sudden, and you might even start to question your Faith in God, and start to asking questions for your own understanding and comfort, But we're never supposed to question God, in Proverbs 3:5 it says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and not lean on to thine own understanding" am I Right?!" The Pastor asked.
"Amen!" People said nodding and agreeing.
"alright then, So we shouldn't question this early departure from Earth, we should celebrate it, because their in a better place now, a way better place then us, and their soul is at rest, So we are going to move beyond the tears!. We are going to move beyond the Questions!...Because the Holy Spirit is here to day to to comfort and strengthen each and every heart! And he will continue to be with us as we grieve and mourn this loss." He spoke stepping down from the podium, he approached the black and gold closed casket and placed his hand gently on it.
"Later this day, when all the words have been spoken, when all the songs have been sung, we will stand at the graveside and commit the body of our friend, and Brother, August Anthony "CJ" Alsina, to the keeping of this earth until the coming of the Lord, and we will commit his soul into the loving hands of the God he served...bringing an end to the final chapter of his earthly life. But it will not be the end of his story, because the memory of his life, and the influence of his life, music, laughter, happiness, and Love, remains. Yes he's gone in flesh, but never to be forgotten in our spirits, and our hearts. Now let's please have a Moment of silence to reflect on his precious life" He said before closing his eyes.
Everybody in the church followed sute and closed their eyes too sharing this Moment of silence, though you can hear a few people trying to hold in their cries, a Moment passed and the Pastor spoke again.
"Amen, now we're gonna have a few words from CJ's Brother and extended brothers before the viewing of the body"

I nervously gripped Beys hand once the pastor said those words, she looked over at me.
"you ok Babe?" she asked softly.
"uh, yea, yea" I nodded letting her hand go, I sighed and slowly stood using my crutches, TyTy and Bey helped me up too.
Me and TyTy walked up to the podium to join Melvin, we hugged for a minute before relasing each other, Melvin is CJs Big Brother, he lives out New Orleans but him and his family flew down here to attend CJ's Funeral.
Melvin wiped his tears before speaking into the mic, me and TyTy stood to the side giving him his moment.
"uh, I'm really not in da best condition ta speak right now, I'm still tryna deal wit da fact dat my only lil bruda is gone...but I'm doing dis fa him because I know he wud.... he would..." he sighed taking a Moment to pull himself together. "uh, he would want me ta be strong for our mom, and lil sister.....so uh ima keep dis short and simple doe, CJ I'm gonna deeply miss you bra, you were da best little brother eva, even though sometimes you got on my dang nerves" he said making everybody laugh a little, he chuckled too.
