So our MC is part of a switched at birth trope. He grew up in a happy family who owns a small store. Then the store had an accident (a customer died) and their family began to be unlucky, his Father died during a robbery and then Mom got into an accident and was in a coma, Sister has to earn money for medical expenses and MC is found by his biological parents. MC's rich parents gives money for the treatment and then takes back MC, but of course, their 'adopted' son is also with them and they prefer him over MC.
The adopted son is a green tea bitch with a circle of admirers and so MC is bullied everywhere but he endured it, he wants to earn money and payback this family so he can go back to his real home. He is also waiting for his childhood friend who had gone missing. Unfortunately, on the night of his birthday/green tea bitch's engagement party, he caught green tea bitch getting lovey dovey to a man who is not his fiance. And lo and behold, for some reason, it became his fault again and there was some pushing and pulling and MC falls off the balcony and die.
Then he was reborn back in highschool before their store had an accident. He is determined to protect his family this time. He wants to earn money so if there was an accident, they would not need to accept his biological parent's charity. Then MC finds out that he can see ghosts now... He meets a businessman ghost and helps him meet with his wife. He also meets other ghosts and he finds out that his childhood friend (ML) seems to be hiding something from him. His house can repel ghosts so MC is curious about it. ML comes back and he immediately catches MC's lies. MC confesses his yin-yang eyes and rebirth to ML (Yup, I was surprised too). And ML tells him that in fact, he is not practicing martial arts but cultivation. He is a Celestial Master who can catch/fight ghosts. He also recruits MC to their Sect. After hearing about MC's rebirth, ML is also suspicious of the green tea bitch/adopted son since from MC's description, MC would always be unlucky as soon as the green tea spirit approach him.
Anyways, they study hard at school and help the ghosts they meet along the way. MC helps his family avoid the accident at the store (dead customer) but MC's Dad was still robbed (but he was just injured this time). MC begins to suspect whether his Dad's death in the last life was really an accident and they discover that it was actually planned. MC's Dad tells him his life experience (MC was picked up/found abandoned and was adopted by their family cos their son died) so now they know that MC and green tea wasn't actually 'switched at birth'. MC is from a rich family, his family's real son is dead so they dunno whose son green tea is. They suspect that green tea's parents must have something to do with the plundering of MC's luck in the last life. MC also tells his family (Dad, Mom, Sis) about his ghost hunting and rebirth.
MC and ML goes to University and becomes roommates with a guy who also hates green tea. MC gives him ideas on how to expose green tea's true face. After revealing green tea's tricks to the masses, he no longer had a circle of admirers, and his fiance and big brother also lost some affection for him. Green tea seems to know about MC and the fact that MC is the real 'young master' so he is always wary of MC and afraid that his rich parents would discover that he is not their real son. Finally, Big Bro meets MC and they 'recognize' him and wanted to take him back but MC refuses.
Anyways, more supernatural stuff, and MC is getting stronger in his cultivation. Laters... they finally meet the mastermind behind-the-scenes (Green Tea's Mom) and defeats the Last Boss. Ending is the supernatural stuff (ghost, reincarnation, Underworld etc.) being made public, and MC and ML has become famous Celestial Masters. Extras is some follow-up about the ghosts they know, and then a few sad chapters on what happened after MC's death in the past life and the side CP of the green tea-hater roommate and his adoptive brother.
It's pretty nice but I was surprised that the plot ran away in the supernatural direction XD I thought it would just be about the revenge on green tea or something like breaking his voodoo. Still, it's pretty fun... our MC is very...protagonist-like. Anyways, he is very loved by our author-sama, gives him a rich godmother, a highschool champion tutor, his green tea-hater roommate is simply god assist. Anyone who sees him would just feel kind, that sort of stuff. In fact, MC is actually quite cruel and its totally fine, those guys deserve it, and I'm glad our MC isn't saying hypocritical stuff liked "they're also pitiful etc." despite his 'soft-hearted' setting. Regarding the grievances of the previous generation or the backstory of some side characters, author-sama tends to info dump, like its all mentioned in one go so I kinda skim that part :P I could do without so much extensive background.
Anyways, MC isn't really focused on green tea anymore but more on supernatural stuff. It's just that green tea also had something to do with it in the end so he was still being mentioned. Although MC and ML confirmed their relationship late in the story, but it kinda felt like they were together right from the start (MC even told him about his rebirth) so romance isn't that sweet/fluffy. Read this for supernatural in modern times/MC who can see ghosts.
