Zoey Deeks

Bowling

Kensi, Deeks, Zoey, Callen and Sam arrived at the bowling alley. It was empty. Only one other person was there and they left after a few minutes.They started bowling and the team watched their surroundings.

"It's quiet" Callen said.

"Too quiet" Sam said.

"Mommy, I'm thirsty" Zoey said as she watched Deeks pick up the bowling ball.

"Uh- yeah, okay" Kensi said as she stood up.

Kensi walked over to the counter and asked for a bottle of water. The man handed her a bottle of water and when Kensi walked away, he called her back.

"Kensi Blye?" He asked as Kensi walked away.

Kensi stopped and walked back.

"Yes?"

"This is for you" He said as he handed her a piece of paper.

On the paper was a note saying "Dear Kensi, look under the empty seat behind you. I've got a surprise for you" .

She ran over to the seat and looked under the seat. There was on a timer. It said 15 seconds and counting down.

"Bomb!" She yelled.

Everyone looked at her. Kensi looked over at the counter and saw the man was gone.

"Run!" She yelled.

Sam picked up Zoey and ran. Everyone ran out and once they were out, it exploded. Sam covered Zoeys head and protected her.

"You okay?" Sam asked her.

She nodded her head and ran to Kensi. Kensi hugged her and then she ran to Deeks. Deeks picked her up and looked at her face. She had tears in her eyes but refused to let them fall.

"It's okay" He whispered as he pulled her into him.

Zoey wrapped her arms around his neck and cried. He looked over at Callen and Sam who were talking to the man that gave Kensi the note.

"Who are you?" Callen asked.

"M-M-M-Malcom D-D-Days"

"Who gave you this note?"

"I-I-I don't know. Some guy came in wearing a black hoodie and a baseball cap and handed me the note and said to give it to the women"

"Did you see his face?"

"No, he kept his head down"

"Stay here"

Callen and Sam walked over to Kensi and Deeks and told them his story.

"There's camera's in there. Eric and Nell must've found something" Kensi said.

"You guys go back to ops. We'll bring him to the boatshed."

Kensi and Deeks nodded their heads and got into their car and left. They went back to ops and went straight to Eric and Nell.

"Anything?"

"Nothing"

"What about the guy that came in and handed the man the note?"

"Nobody walked in the door. After the other group of people left, Malcom Days put up a sign and said it was closed"

Kensi and Deeks looked at each other and walked out. Kensi called Callen and told them what happened. Kensi looked at Zoey who was nearly in tears. She looked around and saw Deeks was gone. She looked over at Hetty's desk and Deeks was at Granger.  

"What's wrong?"

"The man wants us dead"

Kensi sighed.

"No he doesn't. We are going to be okay" Kensi lied.

She knew that if she told the truth, Zoey would get scared.

"Okay mommy"

Kensi sat down at her desk and Zoey sat at Callen's. Kensi looked at Hetty and Granger who were arguing with Deeks. Kensi looked at Zoey who was playing with a doll. Kensi started to think about who would want her family dead. Deeks walked back and was obviously angry.

"Hetty wants us in the boatshed. Zoey can stay here"

"Uh-okay" Kensi said as she stood up.

"Zoey you can uh" Kensi said and then Hetty and Granger walked into the bullpen.

"She will be with us" Granger said.

Kensi and Deeks looked at each other.

"Zoey we'll be back later"

"Okay. I love you"

"Love you too" Kensi said.

"Love you princess" Deeks said after a long pause.

Kensi looked at Deeks and he walked away. They got into the car and Deeks looked out the window.

"Are you okay?" Kensi asked.

"Yeah I'm fine"

"You sure?" 

"Yes I'm sure"

"What did Hetty and Granger have to say?"

"Nothing"

"Deeks it was obviously something"

"Kensi it was nothing"

"Tell me"

"I can't"

"Why?"

"I just can't"

"Deeks, I am your wife. Don't you trust me?"

"Of course I do"

"Then tell me"

Deeks sighed and rested his hand on Kensi's thigh.

"Ryan is gone because of us"
