(sorry for taking a while I've lost my motivation for writing this story ill still update but not as usual as I normally do sorry for the wait and ill post more updates soon)
"I'm tired of walking" lulu whines i walk in front of her "well that's not my fault you skipped out on adventures," i say looking back with a smirk, "you know why i couldn't stomach boats'' she screams at me i laugh "at her and say " if I can remember right, and i can we took a boat here," i say with a mocking smile "whatever, all you wanna do is tease me," she says with a huff and crosses her arms. After a bit we make it to tantagel, we look at the ruined castle before us "hey malroth why would he come here, his mother could have lied because she doesn't know where he is," lulu says looking towards me "well we won't know if we don't go inside," i say heading towards the castle lulu runs after me
As we make it to the castle we peer through the entrance, inside it's dark and there's a low breeze escaping through the door. "I like this place," i say walking in "malroth don't just go inside!.." lulu yells in a whisper. Not listening to her warning I yell "ANYBODY HERE" "eep" lulu exclaims before covering her mouth. She then puts her hands down and walks over to me "malroth we don't know much about this place, you can't just yell in a place like this' ' she scolds, slapping my arm. I laugh at her "well nothing happened so were fi-'' before i could finish a metal slime comes out of a room and looks at us "more goomans?" it said
"Ew it's a monster, malroth squish it" she says running behind me. Then she stops "wait did you say more?" she says peeking at it from behind me, "what are you goomans gooing here," it says looking at us. I shake my head "nevermind that, what did you mean by more humans, who else was here? '' I say, crossing my arms. It looks at me then starts speaking "there was a gooman here who was looking for a temple though he left not long after he got here slurp"
"What was his name?" lulu chimed in walking out from behind me "he never said his name" the slime answered "Why are you so interested?" lulu sighed "we're looking for someone called taru we were told he's here but i guess he's not anymore" i walked to the entrance and yelled out to lulu "let's go check the villages around here. She nods and runs after me waving goodbye to the slime as she does.
When were out i look at her, and she looks annoyed "what's up with you" I say matching her speed "this just feels like a wild goose chase, how are we even sure that he's here at all this person could just be a random guy and even if it is him how did he get here without brown beard it just doesn't make sense" she scoffs, she looks at me when i speak up " he could have wanted to stay here that's why he didn't tell us, so we couldn't protest against it"
She sighs "that's the worst outcome" i shake my head "the worst outcome is that he's dead" she looks at me and punches my arm "way to be blunt malroth, thought you would have had some restraint, saying that about your best friend" "i-i just said it was the worst outcome that's all i meant" i stammered.
We had gone to a few towns with no sign of him; the next place we were going was rivengale. When we were there lulu wanted to look at the clothing shops while i waited by the doors while she looked around inside once she was done in one we were walking to another one when lulu stopped "lulu you're the one who wanted to go window shopping so stop being slow" I yell at her "malroth look" she says pointing somewhere
When I traced her fingers I saw someone on a bench, when I looked closer I realised it was taru. We both walked closer until we were standing in front of him, we stood there for a bit of time before he looked up. His blue eyes met ours. He looks at us for a while stunned then before he could say anything lulu runs and hugs him after a bit i join her and hug him to after we let go he shakes his head and smiles "hi guy" taru says getting into a easier sitting position "is that all you have to say, you suddenly disappear and we come all this way to find you, we've been walking for ages just trying to find you, we get to your town and your at tantagel but when we get there your not there anymore" lulu yells getting in his face "sorry lulu but i had gone back to cantlin but my parents said you had come here so i came back to find you guys" he laughs awkwardly i look at him "you were looking for us?" I say crossing my arms "why wouldn't i, speaking of that why did you come here" he says turning to face me "well.. Lulu wanted to talk to you so i went to go get you but when you wernt there i looked around still no sign of you thats when i went back to lulu, we both went to brownbeard but he hadnt seen you so we went to the hairy hermit, he said you could be in alefgard we thought that was stupid but here you are" i say rubbing the back of my head "ok enough hiding it how and why did you come here" lulu says putting her hands on her hips, im caught off guard by his face shifting to a sad expression as he looks down
"I didn't choose to come here i just woke up in my home" he starts "i honestly... would have stayed there, i didn't wanna come here" lulu sits next to him "im sorry.." she says putting her hand on his shoulder, he smiles "dont worry about it" he then stands up "we should get back to agime, i did promise her i'd go back after i found you two" he says smiling. Lulu and i both nod as we follow behind him
