Chap 1:- Past Memories!!!

Tapping her toes...freeing her slippers...She was sitting in her balcony....

Looking at the file...
Reading every bit of it...

Soon she kept them aside and rubbed her eyes..

The cool breeze made the papers fly into the room floor...
She went on and grabbed them when her sight fell on the school Photographs kept on the bed...

She picked one of them...
And smiled...

All the memories of the childhood jammed in mind...
Now the brain thinking about that day!

The train was all about to start when she entrained on it...
She took her luggage and sat on her seat...

P(in mind)- Thank God! I m here!

Without caring about anyone sitting there she took her window seat and looked outside...

The train had started moving...

She had her nose buried in the book...

A young boy...of near about her age came there...

Boy- Excuse Me?

She kept the book on her lap...

P- Yes?

Boy- Actually this seat is mine..What's your seat no..?

P- It's 4!

Boy- Ohh! This is 1!

P- I am sorry!

She got up and sat on her seat while he took his seat...
3 more boys came there...and sat beside him...

She again took the book and covered her face... adjusting her spectacles...

Boy- Waise I'm Samrat!

She ignored him...as she heard his friends laughing badly...she chuckled...

Soon she finished reading the novel..
When she removed the book from front...
His 2 friends were fast asleep...one lost in his book..titled...Biology and Us...MBBS edition...

Ohh! Medical students..she thought!

Sm- Hi!

P- Hi!

Sm- This might sound strange but...we have met before!

She observed his face...for 2 minutes...

P- Samrat...Samrat Salunkhe?

Sm- Yes Yes!

Her heart started beating fast...
Her high school crush...in front of her...
Sitting and talking to her for the first time in the whole life...

Sm- And you? You know... you look like my batchmate....
You look like Patralekha!

P- Patralekha?
Yes!

Her heart started beating in another rhythm.... Patralekha! He said for the first time...even though there were no feelings....but...!!

Sm- Patralekha MohitePatil! Pakhi?

P- Yes Yes!

Sm- Oh my god! Tum aaj bhi waisi hi ho Pakhi!
Waise hi....spectacles wali!
Shant...books mein magan!

She smiled...

Sm- Tum kitna padhti thi Pakhi! You remember....tum kabhi muh hi nahi kholti thi! Ohh It's a miracle to Hear your voice...

P- Tum badal gaye ho!
Humne school me kabhi baat nahi Kari na!

Sm- Uhm!

His friend looked at them..

F- Bhab...Sorry to interrupt..myself Vishal!....Pakhi!?

P- Hmm?

F- Ye apke saath kab padha tha?

P- High school tak! Phir bahar! Isn't it?

Sm- Hmm!

F- Ohh nice! You should be friends now!

Both ignored him....
And he rolled his eyes in embarassment...

Sm- Kya padh rahi ho abhi?

P- Am studying Law!! Persuading as an advocate!

Sm- Wow!

P- And you?

Sm- Mai MBBS kar raha hoon!

P- Ohh!

Sm- Abhi nagpur jaa raha vacations pe! Tum?

P- Same!

Sm- Ohh!
Waise We got to hear your voice barely in school isliye Aaj baat karti raho!

P- Hmm!

His friend was keenly looking at them both talking....
While both the sleeping friends got up to hear them...

Sm- Tumhare paas school wali Shanaya Seth ka no. Hai? Jo 10th B me thi?

She nodded in disagreement...

Sm- Aur Anjali Gupta?

P- No!

F(in mind)- Arey Bhai! No. Le uska! Gadhe...! Le na! Le na! Abe tere se baat kar Rahi hai! No. Le..Le na!

He banged on his forehead...

Soon the train stopped at the Nagpur Junction and they got off...

F(in mind)- Hey bhagwan! Aise dost na dena! Bas kuch bhi dena! Nahi zeher nahi!

He hit on his head from back....

Sm- Kya hai?

F- Yar pata nahi! Bas man Kiya to de diya!

The memories got disoriented as she saw her mobile phone....

13 missed calls...and 9+ emails...

What a busy person You are Pakhi darling!! She spoke to herself....

Jaane kahan gaya wo Mr Salunkhe...aur kyun aayi uski yaad?
Ab ye to pata nahi kyun aayi...but who cares about Doctor Sahab!
7 saal baad!!

You know Samrat, Us din saalon baad maine kisi se itni baat ki thi! It was you! And ab...mai chup hi nahi hoti!
Cheekhti rehti hoon...vakeel jo hoon!
Kya mai bhi!

She brushed off her thoughts....

P- Emails dekhne ka time khatam!
And calls bhi...see you all tomorrow dear clients...

She grabbed the items and arranged them....

And drifted off to a deep slumber...

Maybe the new day...was going to mark something she never expected!?
