The Bracelets (Hunter x Oc)

Chapter 3

Next thing zara knew, she was laying in a field of flowers. She sits up, how did she get there? She turns and sees a light. It was sort of, witch shaped. It was weaving something. A flower crown. It had appeared to have finished said flower crown, because the figure held it out, examined it, and held it out towards zara. They sat there for a moment when zara realized the figure was giving her the flower crown. She took it and put it on. The figure, despite being nothing but a witch-shaped light seemed...happy somehow. Suddenly, it spoke.

"Wake up" It said in an echoey voice. "Wake up." The voice got louder and more clear. "WAKE UP!"

Her eyes snapped open. It was a dream. But no one was there...

She spent her day like normal. She was reading up on bard magic, when biscuit(her griffin) brought her trumpet case to her, laying it on her desk. Just then, she turned to a object levitation spell, typically used for street performances. She glanced at the trumpet, and back at the spell. She quickly scanned the page and realized it was a specific tune, one she'd heard many times. She'd played it a couple times, but had never attempted to use it for magic. She grabbed her trumpet case, opening it and quickly putting together her trumpet. She put it to her lips and began playing the song "la vie en rose". Or at least, a version of it, specifically made for trumpet soloists. She soon became so focused on the music, she closed her eyes and completely forgot about the spell. She also failed to realize that, while she had been focused on the song, Hunter had summoned her to his room. He was sitting on his bed, staring at her when she began to sway with the music, and objects began to float and slowly fly around the room. He stared at her with amazement. As he stared he started to realize something. She was....quite pretty. Beautiful, even. No... she's so much more than that. She's smart. She's talented. Wait...I'm staring aren't I?

"Wait- WHAT AM I DOING WHY-" he cut himself off when he realized the music had stopped. She'd stopped playing and was now looking around frantically to figure out where she was. Then it hit her, she was in hunter's room. She quickly turned around, only to see Hunter standing there. Tears started to form in her eyes. She started hyperventilating. She dropped the trumpet as the room started to close around her, forming into a fetal position she fell to the floor. Realizing what was happening Hunter ran over to her, crouching down in front of her and holding her close to him. "Shhhshhh, it's gonna be ok" he said, stroking her hair and wrapping his cloak around her. She started to calm down, feeling his warmth around her, and smelling his oh so familiar smell. She could never pinpoint what it was in particular he smelled like. He just smelled like Hunter. And for some reason, unknown to her, she liked that. She had calmed down completely when she sat up straight and glanced up, to see his worried expression staring at her. She placed a hand on his cheek, "I'm ok now, no need to worry." She said, smiling at him.

"I'm glad." Hunter said, letting go and settling beside her.

"...thank you" she said looking down, arms resting on her legs.

"No problem..."

The room fell silent for a few moments. Until zara stood up, saying "well, I think I better go...or something..." she turned away, she didn't want to leave but she figured it was best to, so the situation didn't get any worse. Without a word, Hunter stood up, and once again hugged her. Tighter this time. He started moving backwards towards the bed, zara still in his arms. Zara laughed and asked, "what are you doing? I need to go home- aaa!" She yelped as she fell to the bed, Hunter landing next to her, with both arms around her to keep her from leaving. She was about to attempt an escape, but suddenly an exhaustion overwhelmed her. Unsure why she was tired, but being unwilling to fight it, she accepted defeat and went to sleep in hunters arms.

(Of course when she woke up she immediately panicked and flew home at top speed)
